El Presidente Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Happened Sunday. it made me check my home humidor when I got back Monday. salted fish. specifically, bacalow. Never tasted it before and hopefully never again. it was a small section (just after midway) of a connie 3. 1 2
bpm32 Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 One of the reasons I like cigars so much is that I’ll get a weird scent memory every so often—not sure if it’s real or my brain misfiring. The last one was fresh linoleum: it was identical to the smell of Frankfurt-am-Main Airport when I was 4 years old, about to return to the United States for the first time since I was a few months old. 3
El Corojo Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Grape bubble gum and metal from an Opus X, years ago.

shrink Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Without a doubt... SOAP! I've tasted this several times, and it was unmistakable. I've heard others taste it, too. Rumors about rollers not rinsing their hands after washing. Who knows? 1
Cayman17 Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Bubble gum (lasted a few seconds) from a n/c RomaCraft BA Intemperance Avarice a few years ago.
Stump89 Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 First HdM I've had for a while. Fresh cut pine boards like from a big hardware store or lumber yard. Wood is a fairly common flavor, but it was more 'industrial' or 'back of Home Depot' tasting. Weird.
Wilzc Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Grape bubble gum and metal from an Opus X, years ago. Omg I was gonna say blueberry bubble gum on a Rocky Patel! Which I hated so bad lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
multi-useless Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Novocaine/Lidocaine. It was an infused cigar that I was smoking on a dare, (an Island Jim, I later learned) and it tasted just like dental surgery. 1
cmbarton Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Occasionally I’ll get a musty, dank note ... like a wet towel that was dropped in a hamper for a week or so. It’s never made me toss a cigar off a second story balcony, it just hits me but then goes away or turns into wet hay. 1
alloy Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I just smoked a Punch regional and it was very perfumy. I stopped smoking cohiba pyramids for this reason. I've also tasted steak. Thought that might be a beetle larva. Soap, graphite and minerals (like drinking well water). 1
finecigar Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Occasionally I've experienced mint and menthol flavors, which have caught me off guard! Once and only once I tasted cheesecake, I was not a fan ? 1
Sir Sooty Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Soapy lavender from a DE undercrown once...I was also coming down with cold so might have been a factor. Intense green apples for about a 6 min section of a CoLa, god that was a beautiful cigar...it’s been 8 months and I still dream of that cigar 1
torsion Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Menthol/mint from CoLa's - had this a couple of times and scratch my head as to where it comes from! 1

I smoked one Monday night, thank god I didn't taste bakalow, I have gotten roast pork before though... 1
gr8eman Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I have also gotten bubble gum! Not sure which cigar it was, just I know it was Cuban! 1
CubanConnoisseur Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Cilantro.....damn do I hate cilantro ? 1
clickbangdoh Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 An NC I used to smoke (Joya de Nicaragua Celebration) used to consistently taste of blueberry pop-tarts.... It was a very interesting flavor, and unexpected. 1
