Cigar Mancathlon

Cigar Mancathlon. 

Now I think founder Marko Bilic is a great bloke, but to put it politely, "The World Slow Smoking Championship" is about as exciting as watching paint dry 

Back a few weeks ago, we were discussing on the deck the idea of a Cigar Mancathlon. 

Say 6 events over 2 days. 

Points are distributed  3 2 1.  (1st, 2nd, 3rd). 

The events would be a mix of Cigar Skill (luck) as well as general Cigar Lover associated skill sets 

 

Propose an event or events  

We will see if we can get some consensus!

1. 100mm Sprint - Fastest to finish a ERDM Demi Tasse
2. Boxing - Remove, untie, re-tie and re- box a 50 cab. No tools or jigs allowed. Timed event. Extra points awarded for flair. Points removed for untidy ribbon or damaged cigars.
3. Gymnastics Artistic - Longest ash smoking a slim panetela. Extra points awarded for multiple or awkward positions. Point deducted for ashing on yourself.
4. Triathlon - First to finish 3 cigars; small panetela, churchill, corona.
5. Dressage - Wear your best smoking outfit. Points awarded for safely navigating through an obstacle course whilst smoking and carrying a drink. Extra points awarded for speed or flair. Points deducted for dropping ash, spilling drink, or bumping into obstacles.
6. Relay - You and your team will smoke a small panetela. As one finishes, the next one starts. First team to finish wins.

For all races or longest ash, cigars will be marked to show completion line. For the team relay, failure to reach this line before starting the next leg, results in a disqualification for the team.

7. Archery - 3 cigars, 3 guesses, closest to the bullseye wins.

You need to come up with a marathon event to finish up @Fuzz  I dunno, longest ash on a double corona? or maybe seeing as we have all these races to finish fastest, howzabout a slow event - who can keep a Perla going the longest (must not go out)?

10. Shooting - blow a smoke ring. Winner is the one who blows the most in a row within 15 mins.

11. Synchronised Swimming - As a synchronised pair - cut, light and smoke a Minutos for 10 minutes. Points given for rhythm, artistic poses and ability to have the cigars smoked to the same length after 10 minutes. Points deducted if the ash drops.

Sounds like fun. I don't think I'd be good at any of these events but I'll be there cigar in one hand rum in the other cheering on my buds!

To make this a truly aquatic event the pair should be on water in suitably matching inflatable chairs surely?

Hey, I know FOH is a caring, sharing group ... but the way some people make love to their cigars, sharing bodily fluids with my fellow BOTL might be taking things a bit too far!

Given how many hands have handled the tobacco and finished cigars in the production process, what's swappin' a little spit between friends?
