Yeah the Non Plus doesn't fit this category, agreed.

Someone lighting up a Cuaba at a Cigar event get together? Hmmm... @Fuzz, who was the last person to light up a Cuaba at any of our Sydney catch-ups?

Can't recall if it was a Diadema or Distinguido. But you are right, somebody did smoke one about a year back. I haven't smoked a Cuaba in over a year, and that was a Piramides LE.

Didn't you guys split a box of Cuabas last year?

@Fuzz and @khamy, can't speak for them since they are dodgy a$$ asians :D and you are a classy guy @JohnS

Cuaba has picked up their game in recent times, not as well as RyJ but it has improved. Though you have to wonder the previous sentiments concerning why so many RyJ that are under performing were not "deleted" at the expense of the rest.

I am not a dodgy Asian! I may be a liar, a pig, an idiot, a dodgy Asian, but I am not a pornstar!

So you are a dodgy asian when you subconciously admit that you are one. All Asians are dodgy, when they drink spirits, smoke cigars and gamble

Umm...is this the real Fuzz? Has someone hacked this account?

Man, lots of hate for uniqueness!

I enjoy Cuaba whenever I can. I have several boxes across the vitolas and have never had a bad one. From the tiny and delicioous flavour bomb that is the Divinos to the incredible Salomones (and even the gigantic Diademas), they are awesome. The Salomones puts the Partagas to shame imo.

I have enjoyed my share of Monte Opens over the years as well. Just being different is not a bad thing! There is a market and people in those markets like them!

My problem is the glut of similar or same cigars within marcas. Some have fabulous histories, but logic fails me when it comes to all the Partagas and RyJ small cigars. 2 or 3 max!

I am a Divino and Distinguido fan with the latter being one of my favourites.

However in terms of sales Cuaba can't be viable.......and if it is viable then there is no reason Dip 4, Upmann PC, BCG, SLR A etc etc should have been deleted.

Someone close to Cuaba is holding photo's

The army of small RyJs. Belvederes, Cedros de Luxe No. 3, Coronitas en Cedro, Mille Fleur, Petit Coronas, Regalias de Londres, Romeo No. 1, Romeo No. 2, Romeo No. 3, Sport Largos, the upcoming Club Kings.

We really need eleven small RyJs, but they had to discontinue the Upmann PC? Really?

Also, the entire Monte Open line. I've never met a single person who smoked one and enjoyed it enough to buy another.

Also, if cigars were hookers, my basement would be a very weird place and I would definitely be divorced and bankrupt

I’ll have what he’s having!

The entire Cuaba line.

Also the Vegueros - original launch was utter crap. The relaunch is better, but still not great. I've never seen anyone smoke them. Why they didn't just kill it after the failed original launch is beyond me.

My wife loves the Monte Open Junior - as a result I have probably been the world's largest buyer last year at 4 boxes :lookaround: ....and they were all 2010 BD.
I love the Vegueros, have not had an open yet.

i love the Non Plus!

More like exactly who is Cuaba Exclusivos sleeping with.

...any cuaba really.

How many times have you turned up at a "Herf" / catchup with mates and seen a mate smoking a Cuaba?

Anyone?

Cuabas IMO are the big enigma.

Hard to produce, not a lot of guys smoke them, not cheap = 5 diferent cigars (distinguidos, divinos, salomones, exclusivos, tradicionales).

Trinidad = 4

LGC = 2

A big guy inside HSA loves them.

I do too.

Cheers, @Ken Gargett

Ow, lots of posts about Cuabas. Didnt read the whole thread (using mobile).

About Vegueros, I had access to an image. Brand new box logo or something. Colourful and one or two campesinos on It.

This was more than a year ago and never heard about it, so it was just a plan (or the usual HSA timing)

Monte Edmundos

SLR Regios (personal opinion)

Cuaba Line

Hoyo Petit Robos (WTF is the point of these?)

Trinidad Coloniales (Seriously they cut the Robo Ex and kept these?)

All Maduros (All that leaf would have been better served rolling Boli Tubo 1's, Des Dieux, Upmann PC  etc)

yeah, how can Cuaba have more regular production cigars than SLR, Dip, SP, etc..makes no sense! we must be missing something here?!

maybe there's a small centralized group, like lets say Vatican City, where they buy loads of Cuabas!

My Dad used to say, "I don't drink, smoke, or gamble. If I could just stop *effing* swearing, I'd be cured!"
