The fact that we both think that people always want to hear what we have to say is a bond that binds us. Sometimes you just have to let it go and think about what damage is being done to the forum and your friends here. You and I don't think along the same lines, but it does not stop me from liking you and wishing to not alienate you. I believe (but could be wrong) that you take a similar approach. Forum life is sometimes a brisk debate, but it should not end with people hating each other. It happens, but when you actually see it happening, it is better to switch your hot light to cold. MHO! I try to stay out of the penalty box because I ultimately look at this place as the home of my friend. It is not mine... I am part of it, but I don't own it. At the time I thought the FOH forum was going to rupture a fault line, and actually cause the end of the world. I think it's a shame that anyone needs to go to the cooler. In the UK, or Europe really, debates or arguments never reach a point where things have to be timed out. Religion, Gun control, Politics they're all on the table. In being a faded Empire we are the first to laugh if someone has a go at our country, God or flag. The era of 'fake offence' is destroying peoples backbones and ability to perform the mental gymnastics or engaging in a line of communication that rubbishes everything we hold dear, and not actually smashing a coffee table over someone's head.
