I've never seen that. Looks interesting. What is it?

Lots of mouth watering things here. I'd have to say.  Pappy. I know it may be a bit of a cliche but it's the best I've had.

Limited Edition cuban rum. Supposedly only 3000 bottles per year. It's made in the Havana Club distillery. Likely the best cuban rum I've tasted.

Thanks for the info. Funny, I've been to the museum. I don't remember seeing it.

Sorry for the noob question, is the distillery in Cuba I take it?

My bad, I just checked again, turns out this rum is made in Santiago de Cuba. But I couldn't find the exact distillery. I thought I'd seen that somewhere in the past.

Unfortunately it's hard to find out a lot of the details on Cuban rum.

Yes, this one is made in Cuba. One place I read that it's exclusively exported to Spain.

My bottle actually has the sticker of the Spanish import company on the back.

Very good Anejo Tequila like Arette Gran Class.

Looked that up; sounds like a great tequila.  I personally prefer Casamigos Anejo, but I will have to look for that one.

Arette is always very light and clean. and would pair with the following

Quai D'Orsay Coronas, PL Picadores, Upmann Connie 1

If your into heavier cigars Casamigos Anejo is a brilliant option.

I've been recently surprised in how good Jose Cuervo 1800 Anejo is. Brilliant value for money.

Paired a Monte PE with a coffee stout (Vox Populi from Quebec) last night. There were a lot of similarities in the profiles, the creaminess, light sweetness and coffee notes of the stout complimented the Monte profile. The match was perfect, the stout and the cigar just played off each other brilliantly. Will definitely pair this coffee stout with other Monte's in the future.

I have been following Ken's advice and pairing with champagne, I find that some cava's work well for me also.

Other than that, I find bourbons pair very well with cigars as well as most good rums.

For me it also depends on the profile of the cigar.

Usually I like a straight black (no sugar, milk or cream) espresso coffee, but last night I was dreaming of a Sidecar Cocktail...
