I was discussing this with a few members over the weekend.

In your experience, The cigar/cigars that have been the most consistent over the past decade?

2005 to 2015.

Box to box over the years, your cigar or cigars that have been most consistent in flavour profile.

My three:

  1. Montecristo Especial
  2. Bolivar Petit Corona
  3. H. Upmann Magnum 46

Unfortunately my experience with this hobby does not give me the ability to answer this question.. But one day I hope to know.

I've only purchased the same box once and it was Upmann No 2 with a JUN13 box and more recently a MAY14 box.

It's going to take me a while before I can chime in on these discussions, cheers everyone.

I'd rather say that the name of the game with Cuban cigars is actually inconsistency. If just pushing to the button and waiting for cigars to appear, you can bank on inconsistent box to box experiences from the following:

Partagas D4 - the most consistent Robusto in its inconsistency

Montecristo #2 - the most consistent Pyramide in its inconsistency

Hoyo Petit Robusto - I can always count on these to taste like hot air!

Oh I guess I could answer it differently. How about these three:

RyJ - I can consistently count on any RyJ to disappoint

Cohiba - consistently the most beautiful cigar regardless of substance

Montecristo - because we are smoking an idea, at least that much is consistent

So from this Marc I surmise that the Hoyo Petit Robusto is the most consistent to your mind?

QDO corona

Quintero Panetela

Quintero Brevas

Monte 3

PLPC

Bolivar PC

Dip 2

In positive terms at least, either the blends are very forgiving (I'd guess this applies to Quintero the most) or production is staying with same teams?

Bolivar Royal Corona has been the most consistent for me.

The Monty 2 one of the worst and best cigars depending on the box.

off the top of my head in my short smoking experience

CCE

Quai Corona

"short smoking experience"

The sticky is called Bart's growing collection

Most consistent is not necessarily most enjoyable for me

one cigar only to choose from would be PSD4

or Montie 4

lastly Parti Short

Luckily, most consistent is often most enjoyable for me:

BPC

BCJ

Same excellent flavors that started me on this journey a decade ago.

PSD4. I don't think I have ever had an off one.

The two that come immediately to mind for mr are

Bolivar Petit Corona

Bolivar Simmones (ok not a decade as it is a 2007 Canadian RE)
