jiggler Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 NC was a box of DE Sweet Jane. Makes me laugh typing it although had some good times with some buddies burning through those. CC was a box of Genios from 2013. Turned out to a great first step down the slope for me.
sanity Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 NC: Opus X Angel's Share CC: Partagas D4 Wineador purchase to control temp and it was all downhill from there.
sw15825 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Box of 10 Partagas Serie D 4. In the beginning I thought a cigar that is/was the 2nd most produced cigar in Cuba. It must be the best right. My second was a box of 10 RYJ SC. It was rated 93 in CA magazine so it must be near classic also. How much I have learned!! LOL. It was enough to hook me nonetheless.

Short Churchills? Lol that would likewise be my second box, still en route. Perhaps I have erred... hopefully I will enjoy them! Was a bit of an impulse buy.
Garrettbuckeye Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Short Churchills? Lol that would likewise be my second box, still en route. Perhaps I have erred... hopefully I will enjoy them! Was a bit of an impulse buy. Everyone's tastes are different. You might love them. Especially if they have that reddish hue... Or have hints of cherries. 2
shlomo Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 RyJ Coronita en Cedro, followed about a week later with VR Famoso. Still have a handful of the Famoso....ridiculous cigars. Out of this world.
stogieluver Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 This box of Robaina Unico's purchased at Carlos Robaina's LCDH at 5th y 16th (probably incorrectly written but you know). Autographed by Carlos without my asking. He went with me into the humidor, picked out the box, took it to the cash stand, and autographed it. He then posed for pictures with me and my wife. I loved it. 1
BonVivant Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Dom Perignon 10ct in 1984 around $110 (CHF270)
CaptainQuintero Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 10 count Montecristo No.3 2001 Three or four were plugs but God they were delicious. Milky coffee and raisins galore.
jvel79 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 1 box of Series D4 1 box of Monte #2 both from 2012. From that moment my obsession with CC's began. I've never looked back.
sw15825 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Short Churchills? Lol that would likewise be my second box, still en route. Perhaps I have erred... hopefully I will enjoy them! Was a bit of an impulse buy. I wasn't meaning they were bad cigars. I actually liked them. I meant I had little experience and had to start somewhere in the hobby. So I went with popular cigars. I have learned alot of tricks to the trade so to speak. You have to find what you like and smaller boxes and singles are great places to start. 1
oljud Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Montecristo No.4, bought blind and it was crap :/ //M
MostlyHarmless Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Bolivar Gold Medals 05/08, bought about 2 years ago. Still have probably half of them left. I like them
zrotfus Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 Everyone's tastes are different. You might love them. Especially if they have that reddish hue... Or have hints of cherries. Well they landed today and I will say they certainly passed my eye test! I was especially reticent after seeing the Prez highlight SCs in his rejection post but these look much much nicer.
EuroTrash Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 My first ever full box was Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales. Second box I believe was RASS and then Monte 2.
moryc Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 My first Cuban boxes were Siglo III and Behike 56. Bought them in in Cuba a couple of years ago.
DCigar Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Not bought a box yet, rather singles, but thinking about it hard. Back in Spain in a few months and prices there are nearly half of that in the UK.... I'm thinking Monte 5's, Partagas Series P no 2 and Siglo 1 or 2 to get me started....
