What was YOUR first box?

All I remember is it was boxes not box.....and the cheer in the car as we drove away from the customs checkpoint back into the US ?

First ever box purchase had been a box of Coronas from Tenerife, bought directly from a roller whom we visited at his home workshop, back in mid-90s. He didn't expect any tourists in that remote place and wondered how at all we had found him (we just got to know from some rather insider travel guide - still, the man had no sign at his house, so we had to ask our way through the neighbourhood....). He and his family turned out extremely hospitable. After having watched him work, his wife served us tea and cookies and lemonade for the kids, and we had some nice charla. First stick smoked that same evening and... man, went I green! Later smokes were in fact quite enjoyable. But sometimes, it's the moment and memories that count.

First CC box purchase had been a part box actually. A mid to end '90s MdO No 2 (don't even know exact year for it). Bought one or two singles to sample from my B&M years back. Only bought singles back then, but after smoking one of those I had to return immediately to grab the whole remaining box!

While holding a good stash of MdO2s and other LGCs today, this box I still cherish in particular. Only smoke one in each or every other year. Always a treat, and consistently among the best cigars of the year for me. I'd better slow down my smoking frequency even further to make it last me a little longer.....

My first box was Bolivar Petit Corona with a ULA code from either 14 or 15. Yeah, I'm pretty new to the CC game

Back in 1996, a box of Dominican Partagas at the Lone Wolf shop in Santa Monica.  Can't remember the exact vitola but if memory serves, it was a lonsdale.  Didn't enjoy them very much, either -- not exactly a good choice for a newbie.

First ever Cuban box was a box of Ramon Allones Petit Belicoso UK RE. Have been on a hunt for as many as I can find ever since.

My first non CC was a box of Padron 2000 maduros and I still have a few. For CC's it was a 10 count of Bolivar GM's from our host back in the cigar czar days....none of those are left lol.
