rsanz Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I guess it's not really a song but the only one that makes me cry/brings tears to my eyes is the last post and reveille. Esypecially played properly This... last post anyway.
Reevzy Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Anything I hear on Rage at 3 in the morning most times. I've been playing guitar for 15 years and I'm still not where I want to be, I always whimper when I hear the four bar crap tracks that somehow manage to get on the telly
rsanz Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 ...and even though I'm not a Francophile in anyway... La Marseillaise when sung to drown out the Nazi singing in Rick's cafe (Casablanca). Casablanca La Marseillaise: 2

Grahamsant Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 skinny love by bon iver hurt by johnny cash fix you by coldplay and i'm with lisa on tears in heaven by eric clapton Being somewhat "alternative" in my general music choices, the songs that make me go are also somewhat alternative. Firstly, have to agree with Hurt by Johnny Cash, it's a lot more ethereal than the original by Nine Inch Nails. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica and In This River by Black Label Society would be my two others.
perkinke Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 November Rain by GnR Fire and Rain by James Taylor She Talks to Angels by The Black Crows Hallelujah by a few female singers, favorite is one I found on iTunes by Jodi, Alana and Morgan The first two remind me of my fiance's death when I was 21, the third makes me think about another girl I loved who struggled with a drug problem and the last just strikes a cord with me when it is sung just right.
El Presidente Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 The Redgum song "Only 19" always makes me stop and prop. 1983 released. 3
Pedro2486 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 The Redgum song "Only 19" always makes me stop and prop. 1983 released. Damn good call Prez. My old man was a Vietnam vet that never came back properly. Took his own life about ten years ago, he hated this song - tripped him out. I can't listen to it without a tear or two
kwsaw63 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Butterfly Kisses - Bob Carlisle. I defy any fathers who have daughters to not choke up a bit when listening to it.

jabster Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 So this is a haunting beautiful song that was played at my fathers funeral. I have no idea of the translation, but that's the beauty of music, I don't need to, I know what he is saying. http://youtu.be/MKC-Jd7KN64 Sent from me
