Riddle me this.. Why are the stocks of Sir Winstons so low. No one ever has them in stock. I've heard their produced in very low numbers.

Just curious.

I for one have smoked a ton of Sir Winston's and likewise Esplendidos (along with many other churchills), and I can say based on my personal evidence and experience only, that I have never had a Sir W

I don't think you know what sir winstons and esplendidos taste like.

Hopefully next month This thread is true in parts, supposition in others. I know full well that that the requirement to meet quota on a given cigar leads to shortcuts. I have posted long ago abou

They're not produced every year; but AFAIK only the online vendors are out of stock, most of the LCDHs and B&M shops in Switzerland and Germany have them…

I've been looking for a box of these as well.. Happy to see the curiosity for them, as I also hope the don't get axed..

I had my first one in Phom Pehn a couple weeks back. One of the best cigars of my trip. Too expensive to buy a box there so I am sad to hear they are scarce here.

They were around a few months ago but don't last too long. Actually they can be found pretty easily, but usually because they are asking an arm and leg for them. If you are patient, you can score them for a better price. I remember them coming up in a few LFTW's.

It's a third world country so only fews can afford it hence expensive.

Yeah I was a little surprised given how cheap cigarettes were but with only one importer in the country and limited customer they have to make money off those that want a quality cigar. I bought a bunch there and only had issues with two which they quickly replaced without question.

The service was excellent and the cigars top notch.

1) Nobody buys Churchills.

2) Esplendidos are rolled at the same factory and there is more money to be made on Cohiba bands wrapped around the same cigars.

3) Nobody likes to spend money on cigars with one band that don't say Cohiba, even if it is in a fancy box.

I don't know how much is expensive (very subjective) but I know a online vendor always have stock and reasonable prices. No age, just recently production.

Esplendidos and sir winstons are the exact same cigar apart from the band?

In my experience they are incredibly different

I spend money on cigars with one band that doesn't say Cohiba all the time, and generally not in a fancy box.

Do the experiment. Buy two boxes of esplendidos and sir winstons with the same code and smoke them side by side.

Shameful that these would be rolled in the same factory. And even more shameful that the factory would be some random provincial one.

Why's it a problem they get rolled in the same place? I've got two beers in front of me both from the same building,Arundel brewery, one a dark mild at 3.7% and one a golden ale at 4.2 % , oh and they taste different too :P

I grabbed a box when Rob had a few come in 2 or 3 months ago. Had a 15% sale on that week too so price was in the high 200US.

Good cigar. I'm not sure I am as high on them then a lot of people but are very enjoyable.

Worth looking for but wouldn't buy of price was much higher.

A pointless, not to mention expensive experiment...
