oliverdst Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Heard from 2 different LCDH's that San Cristóbal de La Habana Torreón Jar (+ ashtray) is already available. 700-750 Euros.
Lotusguy Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Not available - shipping around November 25. At that price, I am letting my two pre-orders go. What a joke!
Orion21 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Pricing on these new releases is getting out of hand. The change from the time I got into this hobby (2010) to now is shocking. I would normally be all over these new releases (maybe not jars) but not anymore. I have been tempted by the current EL/RE's but I just won't do it anymore.
riazp Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 gorgeous yet, cheap, god no. But obviously this has its market, in my opinion habanos is gearing towards the asian market where the money is. LE's RE's (although some very very good...Canada and Asia Pac especially)
oliverdst Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 Not available - shipping around November 25. At that price, I am letting my two pre-orders go. What a joke! Lotus, you are right. One says november 25th and the other one 11th. I am a guy who likes to have these kind of exclusivities but I think Habanos is going too far. Not their problem, mine, of course. But it just doesn't sound ok to me.
Lotusguy Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Let's see how they sell... Even the P1 jars were available for quite a while and they were a much more popular marca and much cheaper. Maybe things come down to earth once HSA sits on a few unsold k for a few years
mk05 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 It's like Tabacuba doesn't want to admit that SCdlH is a failed experiment.
oliverdst Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 It's like Tabacuba doesn't want to admit that SCdlH is a failed experiment. I don't know about it. What was their intention?
Charltonc Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The jar collectors will still buy, but that is a small percentage.
riazp Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The jar collectors will still buy, but that is a small percentage. Lotusguy is the premier jar collector on this board...and he just said hes going to bail! what is the world coming to!!
CaptainQuintero Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 That jar is a hundred euro more than a full San Cristobal O'reilly book at current prices :s
Puros Y Vino Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Meh... After landing a La Escepcion and Cuba LGC jar, I'm done with jars for a while.
ramon_cojones Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 no interest in jars give me good smokes
polarbear Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Meh... After landing a La Escepcion and Cuba LGC jar, I'm done with jars for a while. I like jars, but that one is WAY to plain for my tastes and WAY overpriced Got my P1 Jar, LGC Jar, Uppman Jar, 375 Edmundo Jar and exploreing a lead on a La Escepcion Jar If I can get the LA Escep jar i'll be good
Smallclub Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 It's like Tabacuba doesn't want to admit that SCdlH is a failed experiment. Same with Cuaba, btw. But they will never admit it.
tmac77 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 It's like Tabacuba doesn't want to admit that SCdlH is a failed experiment. I really Enjoy the SCdlH line of cigars. Especially the La Punta's and the El Principes. The Mercaderes and Officios were also extremely good.
ramon_cojones Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Always gonna be jar haters! Lol. Nobody hates the jars, we hate the exploitation didn't know that was a difficult concept. I have a p1 jar btw.
Louich Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I would love to have one or more jar but I hate the fact that I need to morgage my house to get one... Guess I'll keep buying boxes. Lol
Perla Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Price in Switzerland is 800 CHF - for the one who are still interested.
Larsy Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 no interest in jars give me good smokes That's the truth right there. They look nice, but I cant smoke a jar
oliverdst Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 I read somewhere there will be 5 thousand jars.
Nino Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I read somewhere there will be 5 thousand jars. Correct - 5.000 it is.
Dara Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Correct - 5.000 it is. Thats 3.75 million euros worth of jars...someone in Habanos is getting a new company car after this!
