oliverdst Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Correct - 5.000 it is. Hey, Nino, I thought you were already in Cuba.
mk05 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 He brought a couple of hamsters to power his remote internet device thingie in Cuba.
Puros Y Vino Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 FYI. The La Escepcion jar that's supposed to hold 25 cigars, then 30 actually holds 32. I could probably squeeze two more but 32 is a good number. I'll post pics later.

Habano Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Never mind how many sticks fit in there - PM me the darn source where you got the jar!!!!! Long gone now brotha.
CanuckSARTech Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Bad time, wrong place, for when the La Escepcion jar was announced. I would have jumped on it likely, any other time. But, Frank is kind enough to temporarily hold onto one for me. Thanks buddy!
CaptainQuintero Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 It's like Tabacuba doesn't want to admit that SCdlH is a failed experiment. Cuaba, SCdlH, Vegas Robaina; would be interesting to see sales on these marca, I know online forums are a small slice of the cigar world but they just seem generally unwanted, compared to the BHK line for example. I mean without regionals, would they have any significant sales? I love the la feurza but the rest, meh

But, Frank is kind enough to temporarily hold onto one for me. Thanks buddy! Actually I think you are incorrect. Maybe it was the wrong time and place for you, but it was the perfect time and place to sell the jar. The La Escep's hadn't been moving and the jar was used to push the rest of the boxes out there for sale and get them sold. So really it was quite a smart move to sell the remaining stock that was left and do it quickly. Obviously it worked.

Relative to everything, the price, while not excellent, was manageable too. I just meant that it was bad timing for me alone at that point! LOL. Oh well.... Perhaps a better jar will be in my hands soon enough....
Puros Y Vino Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 As promised, Cuban/Italian engineering at its' finest. List capacity on the box at 25, the jar at 30, the actual at 32. Actually...the more the merrier!! In the jar, all 25 cigars from box 1812/2000 and 7 from box 402/2000 (separated by a box insert) LEM OCT 11 & LEM NOV 11 box codes respectively.

oliverdst Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 Well, another jar in the market. From a LCDH in europe. 750 Euros.
Ryan Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Cuaba, SCdlH, Vegas Robaina; would be interesting to see sales on these marca, I know online forums are a small slice of the cigar world but they just seem generally unwanted, compared to the BHK line for example. I mean without regionals, would they have any significant sales? I love the la feurza but the rest, meh In most duty frees I see, not including Ireland, I see 3 and 5 packs of Cuaba and Vegas Robaina. Duty Free sales account for a high proportion of sales worldwide, I could be wrong but I think it's something like 30% of total. Distributers seem to be pushing those things there. It's a handy product for a duty free. Millions of people will make an impulse buy of $30, far fewer numbers make impulse buys of $300. However I would be very surprised if any one of those brands, Cuaba, SCdlH or VR, account for more than 1% of sales worldwide, in either numbers or value. Certainly no more than 2%.
oliverdst Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Pres, the three 2010 jars (Monte, RyJ and Cohiba) are poping up in the market. Any news about it?
