MC4 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 With the success of the previous poll about favorite PC or Corona jr. size cigar (Thanks for participating), I thought I would do another poll on Piramides/Belicosos shape/size cigar. Thanks again for voting for your favorite:
ramon_cojones Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 presidente not a pyramid but i would choose it over all of those, not a fan of pyramids except the p1 which is leagues above
CaptainQuintero Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Punch sabrosos by a looooooong way, such a great cigar 1
ramon_cojones Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 They just recently started smoking amazingly well whereas before they were real good. I'll put that on your list for when you come. It's almost time to smoke those cigars you sent me bruh.
MC4 Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 I thought about including Part. Presidente and Cuaba, etc. but I thought I would just limit it to current "regular" production pyramides or belicosos. parti. presidente is also one of my favorites.
Stanislaw Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 the monte no.2 is a sentimental choice for me.... i started smoking them in 96 when they were absolutely stellar and they made such an impression on me that I am willing to tolerate any issues with construction... of course, the box that was hand selected by Rob that I'm smoking right now is very close to those old monte's i remember, not a single plug or crappy blend yet.... looking at this list has made me realize that i haven't had much experience with the other choices besides the Bolivar which is my second favorite (and the cigar I'm lighting up in my profile photo heheheheh)....
AhmedAloub Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 For me it will Bolivar i really love that cigar then Upmann 2 Monte 2
Marker Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 BPB 2009 EL Partagas P1 PL Asia RE VR unicos I know you said regular production so I added the VR. Most Cuban belicoso/piramide don't thrill me but some of the EL/RE have been great.
seamus Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Its never been my favorite vitola but Im loving recent Monte 2s.
Blakes Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Punch sabrosos by a looooooong way, such a great cigar I got a couple of these a few months ago, quite possibly one the best cigars I've had, certainly in my top 5. Truly outstanding smoke... come to think of it, it makes me question why I still don't have a full box? Out of the ones the OP listed, for me BBF in my experience very consistent. I do have a box of HQ R+J Belicosos on the way, which will be interesting given the quality and how great the last few boxes of R+J I've had have been.
tdlfoto Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Reg production: 1 monte 2 (when on) 2 Upmann Special production: HDM short piramide
winelover Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Monte 2. Have a stellar box of Rob's HQs. I am smoking other cigars but can't seem to get even close to the montes.
marper331 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Monte 2s was the first box of cc I bought about a dozen years ago and they were great. I had one while vacationing in Jamaica a few months ago and it was stellar. Just picked up a box from Rob last month and looking forward to lighting up another.
Hafner32 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I've only had a few on the list and I've enjoyed the BBF, Dip and Upmann. I will say that currently I am loving the PL Beli Extra RE
polarbear Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Monte 2 PSP 2 Cohiba PE Diplo 2 Still gotta get to the Uppman #2 andi haent had BBF for a couple of years Might be time to grab a couple
sharks Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Blind cigar test no 3 was a bloody nice cigar whatever it is. The partagas P1 yum still waiting for these to go into regular production. Luv the cohiba piramides and the Upmann no 2.
nikesupremedunk Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Haven't tried them all yet but from the ones I've had, Cohiba Piramides hands down.
liuzzi Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I haven't smoked many of these but my favorite has been Hoyo Short Piramides EL.
Hohenthal Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I voted Upmann, June/July 2011 have been great relatively young (usually they need a good sleep before they come into their own) but will also age gloriously. Very impressive examples (not as a whole box though but singles) have been Montecristo and Robaina Unicos for me. Alex
