If I could only have one cigar before I was to die It would have been a Cohiba 1966. That was probably the best smoke I have ever had. Rob can we get some more??? JK they are history.

Why can't people read the previous posts? I've already wrote that "130 countries" is a MISTAKE. And it's not a test, it's a palmares, a ranking, country by country. (Dom, Honduras, Nica, Cuba)

I have the ranking in hand now, it's a special issue of l'Amateur de Cigare, nothing else; the [email protected] article is full of bullshit and errors…

So you agree it is BS, and those other 47 Cubans must have been all Quinteros, Fonsecas, or something else of lesser quality. Not that there is anything wrong with those brands, but one would not expect them to be the top Cuban.

Since you have the magazine can you give us an idea of some of the other Cubans they compared?

Let's see; one box of BHK or 2 boxes of RASS.... Easy decision for me RASS

Again, this is a ranking for the year 2013, most of the cigars smoked are 18 months-2 years old, and availability on the french market is taken in consideration…

I suppose there is nothing I can say that would avoid us the "what? no PLPC?" / "where is the Hoyo DC", etc., comments… sneaky.gif

If people are interested in the rankings of Dom Rep (36 cigars), Honduras (12 cigars) and Nicaragua (24 cigars),

let me know… I'll type it as soon as I have the time…

Nice of you to do this and thankyou.. Shlomo we are reading it and commenting on it and posting in regard to it, so the list is working beautifully. It gives us something to talk about . I love the 52's just looooove them

Thanks for posting! While Shlomo's comment has merit I think this is a pretty good list... maybe appropriately titled:

"50 Most Enjoyable Smokes from the Last Few Years (Listed in No Particular Order)"

I suppose in some ways the palate reflects some of my preferences... i.e. I'm not on the Party Short bandwagon yet, so having those below so many others makes sense. Boli GM towards the top? Yes, I concur.

Smallclub, thanks for posting the list.

I am still shocked that the BHK52 topped that list. I see many smokes that are better like SigVI, Sir Winston, CoRO, CPE, RASS.

But I guess it is all subjective.

LOL. Maybe that's all part of Habanos S.A.'s super-secret-evil-plan....they're discontinuing so many cigars that eventually, there may only be 50 different cigars left, so that when someone does a "50 Best" list, everyone would be happy because no matter what they're all on it!!!

Guys, my comment was based on most threads with lists of "greatest" cigars, such as CA's top 25 or others. Yes, this thread has generated polite disagreement, but it seems as though everybody is in agreement about disagreeing with the list! I have found that people tend to get very defensive about their personal favorites.

Glad it is not happening here.

You don't rate the sir Winnie? I'LL KILL YOU!!!! :D

Thanks for sharing that list. I do believe the BHK 52 is a gem of a cigar, along with many others mentioned in that list... But yes unfortunately it is quite subjective ...any kind of published list. My main trouble with the BHK line is justification of price when compared to others on that list.

Huh? I have not smoked for decades like some, but I have smoked plenty of these with varying years of age on them...

attempt at a joke... clearly mis-fired. I'll leave the comedic effort to Ken going forward.

My apologies to our fine French members and anyone else I may have offended.

Got a box of 52's in 2010 (Spain) when they first came out and I still dream about them. For me who is a newbe to smoking

cigars (5 yrs) they might be the best that I have ever smoked. Now 2013 I don't know how they are smoking. A friend of mine brings back

Cohiba VI's and rustic looking (dark wrappers) HDM Double Coronas and they are almost as good as the org. 52's.
