I smoked a lot of cigars this year , guessing over 100. Lot to me anyway. Smoked a lot of good cigars, tried all of the LE's for the last 2 years. Some so so ones and some absolute killers.

When we had the Monte Sale this Summer , I think I tried almost every Marca available and all the Monte's smoked extremely well.

Monte GE and # 5 stick out the most .

The SLR Pacificos where fantastick, I really can't stop talking about them just had to buy a box.

As for LE releases the Cohiba 1966 sticks out the most, yet to try some Royal Robustos.

New Cigars I have to go with the H.upmann half corona, some might call me crazy but it was a nice little cigar, as I write this I'm trying to think of the new cigars this year 2011-2012 and this is the first one that comes to kind. I know I'm probably missing one that is 10 fold a half corona.

For me it would be the 2012 Limited Editions, i.e. Partagas C No. 3 and Upmann Robusto. Have not tried the Monte 520 yet. Also the La Esecepion Selctos Finos and Bolivar Distinguidos were/are pretty good.

For me, my top cigar is one that not only exemplifies the marca but one that stands out as having more than just one wonderful smoking experience.

For me, that cigar for 2012 would be the Upmann Half Corona. To me this meets the above criteria.

I likely smoked 30 of these this year and each one has been a memory worthy smoke.

It's not always the most versatile of vitolas but wow what pleasurable smokes they have been this year.

Had some some beautiful Hoyo Short Pirimides ( I know some you think of these as crap I love them )

Monticristo Petit Edmundo have always stuck with these, however I picked up a box of 10 count in July from 2010 which had a nice dark brown chocolate colour. These were just insane and I have been unable to saviour them.

Monticristo 1996 Especial, a cigar which I hoped would never end, just amazing ,Think I have maybe three left and will try and hang on to them. Or maybe I wont !

According to my notes the Bolivar Demi tasse, QDO Corona, QDO Panetela, H.Upmann Gran Corona and H.Upmann Sir Winston all came in with a 94/100

I'd be happy with that selection forever I think.

I'm going to take this to mean cigars with a 2012 box date & say the Partagas Presedente. I actually haven't bought much this year, but the FEB 12 Presedentes are the best post 95 ones I've had.
