A Monte 2 gifted from a BOTL, probably the first Monte 2 that I've truly savoured and enjoyed. Also an Upmann Royal Robusto which was a cracker despite being quite young.

Post part #2... best smokes have always come from gifts or trades, mostly because the FOH has personally selected and aged them. Pretty sure it has been mutual, since the gifted cigar is one chosen by the other side.

Best cigars in August were H.Upmann half coronas!

Maybe I was lucky enough to get a particularly good box, but these small cigars are incredibly good, and incredibly "Upmann-ish" – better than all the Connoisseurs No.1 I have had these last years…

I wish I could find more… (market is completely dried in France)

I've surprisingly enjoyed the Partages Series E No 2 as well as the Por Larranaga Belicosos Extra RE :2thumbs:

i agree...maybe the best new release from habanossa ever.

1 year old and already better than any new release i can remember in the last 15 years(yes i have thought about ra , scdlh , trinidad ,sigloVI and so on at 1 year).

Best cigar of August 2012 was probably an H. Upmann Royal Robusto that I smoked after a perfect day of shopping and eating in Paris with my girlfriend. I even had to insist that we waited outside the metro station until I completely finished it. Smoked to the nub and sad it was over, but luckily I found a box a couple of weeks later so I hope it wasn't a one-of experience, although the setting and company might have improved the cigar significantly.
