A few recent acquisitions 1980s bottlings of Glenfiddich 15 and 18. 1980s bottling of Macallan 12 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Arrived just now from the island

My summer planned trip to Cuba was scuppered so I did the next best thing... a whisky buying trip/tour of Scotland! Had a great week with a mix of rain and glorious sunshine. Some great pick ups too -

My dad snagged us a bottle of this. We will crack it open when we close on our house next month. Ive heard so many good things, and I believe I first heard about it here. cfbbf89d54d29b4e0b546df43e93d4c8.jpg

I really enjoy the Chateau de Beaucastel. I still have some from 1998 and 2004. Delicious

Anyone ever try this James Pepper 1776 Sherry cask version?  It came strongly recommended at the liquor store I visited during a recent business trip. I decided to check it out since I can’t get it in liquor stores at home.

I don't have that one, mine is straight bourbon, I honestly don't remember it that well, I will have to try some this week to remind myself, this is what I have:

I wasn't a fan. So many better tasting bourbon for the process point.

Have not tasted it yet but I agree, am sure there are better Bourbons for the price- EC BP, Weller 12, Widow Jane come to mind, from my personal taste but I had to complete my vertical.  Really liked the 20 and the 21, have not tried the rest but will do a tasting of all them one of these days.

These will be interesting.......

Should be tremendous and British bottled.  '70 was probably the last good Noval until they restructured.

Seems to be only available through duty free. Has anybody tried this before?

you are kidding. 3 minutes ago, i was emailing with the angostura people about the next release. think it will be number 3, but i could have missed some.

and yes, have tried it and like it a lot. i don't think it is only travel retail. but it is not widely available.
