El Presidente Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 My son asked me this while fishing on the weekend. I love Brisbane, hate the cold. While I could easlily ensconce myself in a central or South American coastal village with a good cantina ....however, you need to assume you have the same responsibilities in life that you have now (family/work/schooling etc). One choice? Toss up between Buenos Aires and Cordoba.....Argentina.
riazp Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 good question, probably Seattle or Essex, UK, go back to my roots
CaptainQuintero Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Some of the friendliest people I have ever met were on the Greek islands, Rhodes/Cyprus etc and the island themselves are beautiful and steeped in history which is one of my follies. So probably there, although Canada has a lot of appeal, seems like Britain but from a parrellel universe from what I have seen
First Lady Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Easy Italy on the coast so I can sleep my afternoons away or New York as you all know how much I love to shop
n2advnture Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Amafli coast Italy or the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica (or the mountainous area just over from Arenal Volcano, near Chipira)
bc8436 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 1, Somewhere on the coast in Northern California or in wine country, for a more realistic approach. 2. In a more "perfect world", somewhere on the coast of the Mediterranean. Maybe Southern France. Or Northern Italy.
MrGlass Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Somewhere in Canada or Alaska for me. I love the cold.

aavkk Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 hmm, it would be amazing if I could work from Nelson in the South Island but since that isnt going to work Charleson, SC.
laficion Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 ....however, you need to assume you have the same responsibilities in life that you have now (family/work/schooling etc). One choice? Same as NOW ? The Republic of " DECK "

Torontonian Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Vancouver comes to mind. The endless of miles of beautiful wooded trails - a runner's paradise. Otherwise a quaint, picturesque village in Europe somewhere.
sfordham Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Would move back "home" to Vancouver Canada or Portland Oregon
CBL Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Hong Kong or New York. Although if Hong Kong turns out to be too much like Taipei after a while, I'll switch to London Still hoping I can make this come true next year when I start my masters, hopefully in New York!
