Wow, that is a serious collection. I'm going green with envy.

I just went from my desktop humidor to a small vine fridge that was on sale but sadly just fits about six or seven boxes, so I guess I'll be running out of space pretty soon. Just ordered my first three boxes from Lisa. They haven't arrived yet, but I'm already thinking about the next ones.

Excellent thread with some great pics, man - very nice!

Those Guantanamera Singles in your singles drawer are to die for! :rotfl: hahaha

Seriously though - Like the pics. How did you like the Trini Ingenios 2007 ELs? I havn't yet had a good one, curious to see if other have had better experiences.

LOL. Did you notice how the Guantanamera singles are also sitting together with the non-Cuban singles?! That's where they deserve to be - if anywhere. Actually, those were from a buddy of mine, who bought them at a local golf club when we were out one day, and he gave me a handful of them to sort-of repay me, and say thank you for all the previous cigars I've given him.

And, I haven't touched them since. :rotfl:

Ahhh, it was a real nice gesture. I have them in there for offerings of whoever wants a cigar, but is too daft or drunk to care what they get.

I was seriously wondering if/when someone would pick up on those Guantanameras. That, and the readings on my hygrometer (high temp reading from the drawer being open). Wondering when someone would point either of those things out, and go, "WTF!?!!?!?!!!"

And the Ingenios'? Honestly, I like them - the ones that I've had I think I've given 91/92's to. It's not a format that I overly go for, but I really like these. I find some milk chocolate and woody spices, maybe a bit of brown sugar in there too. I actually really like the different EL's that I have in there (Cuaba Piramides EL 2008, Montecristo Sublimes EL 2008, and Trinidad Ingenios EL 2007). The Cuabas are the best of those, IMO, and like others, the only Cuaba I really like (their normal lineup is too mild/bland for me, with draw/construction issues I find).

Heh heh sounds about right. The only Guannies I ever had were gifted to me by well-meaning guys, and passed to drunken buddies at navy mess dinners who didn't know or care either way.

Agreed on the other two LE's you like - the Monte Sublimes and Cuaba Piramides have been the two I've enjoyed the most of what I've had. The RyJ ELs range from average to awful, and others just don't seem to much cut the mustard for me...though I havn't tried any Partagas EL yet. I'm hesitant to do so, mainly due to price point and the fact that I have far better luck with RE's anyway!

Wow. So, it's been way too long. I've had some new additions sitting around in my cabinet, and I was rude enough to not take some more cigar porn pictures and post them for you all.

I had bought a couple different boxes from two of the Live From The Humidor threads back in the middle of August. I got two 25-boxes of Montecristo No. 4's (one HQ, and one PSP), and then a 10-box of HQ Montecristo No. 2's.

I also must say, these were from my first purchase with Cigar Czar. The experience was/has been exceptional. Lisa was absolutely amazing with dealing with all the typical first-time-buyer crap and questions that I put her through (Rob, have you given her a raise yet?!?!!? :2thumbs: ) I know shipping discussions are limited in what we can put, so I'll just say that the timeline/process/method was excellent, considering shipping from Australia to me (if you want any further details, PM me). So, all I'll add further is that if you're sitting on the fence about a purchase with Cigar Czar, don't - it's well worth it, especially considering the PSP/HQ/PE enhancements. Well done and a huge heartfelt kudos, Rob/Smithy/Lisa/et al.

Therefore, I've put in two further orders with Czar in the past few weeks. I will definitely be more prompt in posting pictures of those wares once they arrive.

So, without further ado, my new wares (please excuse the not-so-great picture quality - these pics don't do these cigars justice, especially considering the very-true-to-life exceptional pictures that Smithy posts for the LFTH thread postings)...

Montecristo No. 4's, PSP box, 25-box (Oct 2009, RAS):

And then, for an in-the-hand "action shot", to better illustrate the oils and sheen (with my wife's crappy little digital camera)...

The palpable texture and oily sheen to these high-level cigars is just absolutely exceptional. In the hand, these don't feel like a "standard" Monte 4 - the quality of wrapper (it's texture, aroma, oils, etc.) seems like a high level EL wrapper, similar to the Monte Sublimes EL that I have. These are just absolutely top notch. If there's one thing I can say about the PSP selections - you just absolutely need to pamper yourself with at least one box, to hold the actual thing in your hand, and feel the realism of the difference that's available to you in your purchases.

Rob, I'm an absolute convert. It's like finding the love of your life, and solomnly declaring, "Honey, there were no other beauties before that meant as much to me as you. There were no others before - and shall be no others after."

And finally, the last of my three recent additions, Montecristo No. 2's, HQ box, 10-box (Nov 2009, MUE):

[These appeared to be a PSP box initially - a PSP sticker is underneath of the HQ sticker. Well deserving of it, IMO, but hey - I'll take the cheaper downgrade too! :2thumbs: ]

Beauties! Interested to see how the 09 #4's smoke...Do tell!

Will do, Mike. They've now sat in my cabinet for pretty much exactly 30 days to mellow out, post shipping. I've got one of the PSP 4's and then one of the 2's in my Cigar Caddy, to smoke at work at some point this week. I will definitely post a review once done. I've just recently smoked one of my other 2007 "BLP" Monte 4's from my other unnamed retailer - those have been so-so at best, with light green claro wrappers, and not an overly present "nose" to them pre-light. So, it will be fun to compare these PSP and HQ fixin's.

If things pan out as positively as I hope/expect/pray for, then I'll probably keep my eyes peeled for future LFTH threads for more of these same lots in HQ/PSP, and also bigger and more boxes of the No. 2's as well (the recent video review has nearly swayed me for those also).

Fingers crossed.
