CanuckSARTech's Cuban Collection

Recommended Posts

Since Bart's, MKZ's, and Piggy's threads have inspired me, I figured I'd start a thread to display by Cuban beauties stashed away in my decently sized cabinet humidor. I had started a thread previously to show off the humidor itself in the "Humidor Tutorial" section of the Forum:

CanuckSARTech's Custom Humidor Cabinet

So, I've got pictures in there of the cabinet itself. But, I figured I'd start a separate thread in the Photo Gallery section to show off the wares.

What I'll do, I'll try to put only a few pictures per post, maybe of two different varieties/boxes, that way it maybe helps with the downloading/viewing of the thread. I'll put most of the pictures of my beauties in here, save for a few duplicate boxes that I have stashed away in a coolerdor for more long-term aging (rather than current consumption) of the same stuff.

And as time goes on, and I add more sexiness to the cabinet (just processed my first Cigar Czar order with Lisa this weekend - thanks darling, make sure Rob gives you that raise!), I'll add pictures of further additions.

Sorry for some slightly grainy or out-of-focus pictures - my wife's digital camera is so-so, and the lighting conditions in our basement family room are not the greatest for taking close-up detailed pictures of cigar boxes!

Hope you enjoy my thread.

Cheers!

Always love a good porn-thread... :buddies:

LOL. Hey, you and Bart and Piggy got me going on a roll on thinking to do this, so it's all your fault!!! ;)

Actually, I had to do it anyways - take the pictures, I mean. Needed to get a bunch of photo documentation done for all of this, for home insurance reasons (heaven forbid, if anything ever happened, but this way I'll be covered with regards to proving my wares, and will have it a bit easier for determining values and such). I recommend everyone does similar (if you have home-contents insurance in place, depending on where everyone lives).

Anywho, I'll get back to finishing the postings then...

Yes, I know they're not Cuban, but I have this Domican Republic box of Romeo y Julieta Dreams [D.R.], 10-box (glass tubos, 1306 code) - these are some of my giveaways to normally not-cigar-smoking buddies (they don't mind, it's free stuff):

Then, back to Habanos' again - Romeo y Julieta Romeo No. 2 Tubos, 25-box (Aug 2008, MAS):

Whew!!!

Well, that's about it. I've also got a bunch of mixed singles and other assorted goodies in the top drawer of the humidor:

I've also got a couple of non-Cubans there (from a promotional sampler that I got years ago, but haven't really bothered to delve into them too much). The only non-Cuban thing of note is that I always am sure to have a couple of Padron sticks in there - always some Serie 1926 (especially Maduro, my favourite is the No. 2 Belicoso), but there's also a couple of 1964's that are usually around, too.

But, for the Cubans in that drawer, I've got a number of tubo Churchills (Punch, H. Upmann, R&J), some Cohiba Clubs are always on hand, as well as a couple of 3-packs of Montecristo Tubos. Then a few assorted singles and such.

Well, I hope you enjoy all of this so far. I've now spent waaaaay too much time sitting at my computer and doing this today - my arse is tired.

As I get more, I plan on updating this thread and posting more pictures. I've got an order that should be on the way shortly from Czar of a couple boxes of Montecristo No. 4's (one PSP box, and one HQ box), as well as an HQ box of Montecristo No. 2's. I'm also trying to work out available stock with another supplier of mine, and get a whole bunch of boxes of Diplomaticos No. 4 for the long-term as well. As stuff comes in, I'll keep you fellas updated and satisfied with more photos.

Cheers. Enjoy.

Gawd, that first page is sure a pain in the arse to load, with all those pics. Maybe I should have spread them around, to one post to a cigar variety? That way, the pictures/posts would have been spread over two pages, instead of all on one giant one to download. Oh well - too late now.

But, I just thought of something else. I have a cool little accessory to show.

Yes, we all have a plethora of cutters, lighters, cases, etc. But, I found something that I think is pretty unique - what about this interesting little tool:

This cigar box hammer is something that I got from a connection in Havana House, the authorized distributors for Habanos S.A. in Canada. On my last trip to Cuba, in April 2008, it was something that I noticed the ladies in the LCDH stores in Varadero and Havana using. I tried to score me one then, but to no avail. So, it was something that I kept in mind since then. So, after some discussions and questions, I had a couple of these sent to me - it's apparently something that they don't sell for public release, just meant as a special little extra for some people. I've seen various older / antique versions of cigar box hammers / tools, but this one was unique to me in that it has the Habanos logo on it.

Works great for cutting the seals/labels, and reclosing the boxes up with a little tap on those small nails.

Just a cool little accessory that sits in my cabinet.

Thanks fellas. Quite happy so far.

Now that my wares are mostly up there to see, anyone want to do any trades, let me know in a PM. I started a thread in the Trades area, but those that I have talked to have very similar stock to mine, so it wouldn't really be too beneficial in reciprocity for them. I've got a few sticks that I want to try again - and yes, singles are definitely an option too. But, just putting that out there.

As more comes in, I'll get this updated.
