True. The last third of the QdO 54 I had yesterday was pretty good, and flavor forward. Today I was pleasantly surprised by the 50; it’s amazing what some age can do. Hopefully, I can expect the same from the 54, which I’ll try my best to forget about for a while.

BR 109. I am staunchly against the reckless act of smoking cigars ROTT but this thing was on a USPS truck about 15 min ago. With the horses racing at Saratoga risk taking is in the air today. I look forward to getting to know these!!

No picture but just had a Juan Lopez Seleccion Number 1 from a 2023 cabinet. When I last tried one of these it was like trying to smoke a stick of potpourri and it was way too floral for my tastes. The extra 8-9 months or so have helped it mellow out and this was absolutely divine.

 

The signature JL Citrus was there in spades, but a lovely sweetness to it, gorgeous toasty tobacco, better than any of the JL2s I've had of late. A hint of spice and complexity also, maybe some cinnamon. It was a lovely journey.

 

Honestly pick up a box if you see them going (I see them in 24:24 right now!). This was a 94-95, very surprising!
