HdM Epicure Especial '18. 

An uber-delicious creamy cigar to start the week!  It was like drinking a creamy latte made with Lavazza Super Crema espresso beans, with a touch of vanilla sweetener.  Now I see why this is the flagship - forget the Epi #2!

Coloniales from the Corona sampler. Rested 4 months (60RH - 21C/70F).

First Trinidad for me. No a lot of sweetness going on here, more of a black tea like flavour. Would love to try an aged version to see where it goes.

Smoking this HdM epi 2  (NOV 16) as I type. Paired with Havana Club Selección de Maestros and some pound cake on the side. 

Honeyed graham cracker is the dominant note surrounded by silky cream and a light indeterminate wood. 

Not sure if anyone has experienced this from HdM but I always get a slight citrus taste, perhaps orange zest if I had to name it on the nose of the epi 2.

Global brands day for me.

Had an early meeting around the Perimeter (the highway from Hell in the ATL) so fired up an Upmann RR for the commute. Lasted just about right.

Brought along a Partagas Serie E No. 2 for the return. After lunch and on the way back I fired it up. That one lasted for awhile longer on the deck office once I was home. 

Later afternoon sparked a Monte #1 and started thinking "I am half way through the global brands today". ?

Given that I pulled an RyJ Ex#3 as the evening approached.

Then a Siglo I for a preprandial whilst preparing some Szechuan stir fry. We eat late for Americans....

Following the repast I pulled out a fairly fresh du Prince. In retrospect I would have started the day with a Hoyo.

Now I am all in so dig for an JLP. Find an ancient Nacionales and light up. Early in and understand why I don't stock these though, based on the economics, understand a reason they are a top seller.....only pic I got too.
