Wow, Bill.  It is incredible that they were able to find the mass and save you major complications down the road.  Very glad to hear that after the surgery, you are able to get back and enjoy life as usual.  Best wishes on the recovery and a long and happy life!

Thanks Dan.  Long ashes Brother!

Another one from last week that I forgot to post. Quai D'Orsay Corona. MAR 16 - Needs time. I agree with what El Prez said in his review of this. Needs 2 - 3 years rest before its any good. Very very mild flavors. I am putting them away now. Will try another one next year.

For Presidents' Day I started out with a delicious Monte #5 (MUL OCT 14) while I washed the car. Then I made Italian sausage and peppers in a red wine sauce on the BBQ. For desert I had a PL Montecarlo (EML JUN 15). It was a gorgeous 71F evening in SoFlo!

Fired up a HUPC from the box I received last week, 1/3rd was amazing sweet bread notes, and some sweet cream. 2/3rd the bready sweetness dropped off and some light spice came in. Had to put it down just before the band because it kept going out on me ( I assume because it was only in the humi for a week). Looks like another box is in order when the tax returns come in!

A 2011 RASS started the day, gifted by another board member who smoked the same. Just freakin' fantastic, especially since I fell in love with RA while mainly smoking them fresh.

Continued with a Opus X Oro, first one I ever had. During the first third I struggled slightly with the change of pace but it came back and I really enjoyed it even thougj it might be slightly on the heavy/spicy side for my palate.
