An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

Casdagli d’Boiss 52. Heard some positive commenting on that one and thought I’d give it a try (while at 17 Thaler not exactly a budget-smoke). Sounded enticing - a Costa Rican blend with Ecuador wrapper, and purportedly Jeremy Casdagli having had a somehow “Cubanesque” character in mind with blending this line. Well, a beautiful looking cigar, no doubt about that! But a very subdued smoke (as far as I got into it), even muted in a way. Unfortunately, construction was diddly-squat. Gave up on it before entering second third. I got another one resting, will certainly give it a second chance.

Switched to an old faithful instead (Coloniales). Ahh, it’s good to be back “home” again! 😂

I smoke the Casdagli traditional line almost daily. Their robusto and Cotton Tail vitolas are fantastic. But I am always disappointed in all their other lines.

Bolivar Petit Coronas (TUA November 2021). Sweet fruity cream for the first and second third, then a mild earth and wood for the final third.

I'd love to see you do a video on these!

It’s not as impressive as it seems.  They were like $189 a box back then.  😂

True, that’s only 312 sticks. At your pace, Elliot, you’d be through them within a year, wouldn’t you be able to mix in the odd Sig 6. 😅

Enjoy your remaining ones, man! :cigar:

Thanks for the suggestion! Will certainly try out. Interesting formats there with the Cotton tail and the Grand café. Perhaps it’s because those are still made in DR at Hendrik Kelner’s Tabacalera (?). I got some Daughters OTW and some Cypher formats yet to try.

Yes, I reviewed these in November 2022 on my youTube channel after only 1 year of age. The flavors are very consistent from this box but a little more smoother with the age. This box was rolled at the Partagas Factory in Havana and was smoking good at a young age.
