Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted June 21 Popular Post Posted June 21 I have been saving 2 boxes of Esmeraldas from the original release, until I finished my other 26 boxes. Unfortunately, that day has finally come. I just broke into one of the boxes. ARS OCT 19. 29 1
Popular Post Fugu Posted June 21 Popular Post Posted June 21 Casdagli d’Boiss 52. Heard some positive commenting on that one and thought I’d give it a try (while at 17 Thaler not exactly a budget-smoke). Sounded enticing - a Costa Rican blend with Ecuador wrapper, and purportedly Jeremy Casdagli having had a somehow “Cubanesque” character in mind with blending this line. Well, a beautiful looking cigar, no doubt about that! But a very subdued smoke (as far as I got into it), even muted in a way. Unfortunately, construction was diddly-squat. Gave up on it before entering second third. I got another one resting, will certainly give it a second chance. Switched to an old faithful instead (Coloniales). Ahh, it’s good to be back “home” again! 😂 27 1

But I am always disappointed in all their other lines. 1

Popular Post Chucko8 Posted June 22 Popular Post Posted June 22 Trying out this which was gifted to me a few years back. Finding it interesting how just the wrapper touched my lips on a cold draw and left a sweet taste on them. 19 1

At your pace, Elliot, you’d be through them within a year, wouldn’t you be able to mix in the odd Sig 6. 😅 Enjoy your remaining ones, man! 1

Perhaps it’s because those are still made in DR at Hendrik Kelner’s Tabacalera (?). I got some Daughters OTW and some Cypher formats yet to try.
Popular Post Fugu Posted June 22 Popular Post Posted June 22 Always a sad sight - final one of a 2014 box. There’s nothing (not much) better with your Sunday morning coffee. Always looking forward to it, when time permits. 23

Yes, I reviewed these in November 2022 on my youTube channel after only 1 year of age. The flavors are very consistent from this box but a little more smoother with the age. This box was rolled at the Partagas Factory in Havana and was smoking good at a young age. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpf-Yp1ePfw&t=11s 3 1
