El Presidente Posted Wednesday at 10:47 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:47 PM I think we can all agree that cigars, especially Cuban cigars, can sometimes be a bit hit or miss. You'll often hear people say about a particular product or experience, "I've never had a bad one." It's a great endorsement, but when you're talking about handmade products like cigars, and you've smoked enough of them, that's a pretty rare claim to make. So here's a question for FOH: What cigar can you honestly say you've never had a bad one?
JDoughty Posted Wednesday at 11:03 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:03 PM That's a no brainer. Padron. FOH/Bond Roberts would not be far behind, except that I have smoked a few before they had rested properly and that didn't go well. After proper resting, same story. Consistently impeccable construction. 3

JPark3 Posted Wednesday at 11:52 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:52 PM Padron as a whole is the only name I've never had a bad cigar from. Taste, construction, all there. 3

Ford2112 Posted Thursday at 01:29 AM Posted Thursday at 01:29 AM Cuban - Partagas E2. They just hit on all cylinders for me. Classy blend. NC - Viaje. Every one I have smoked, even if some were better than others, offer a unique experience and they are memorable. 4
tbelle7 Posted Thursday at 01:41 AM Posted Thursday at 01:41 AM Siglo VI. Some are good, some are great. Never had a bad one. 4

I've had bad ones of all of these, at least 2 of 5 in your presence. Padron 1926 and Davidoff Grand Cru are impeccable in my memory. E2, QdO50, and Lusi, but all with a small sample size. 2
Duder Posted Thursday at 05:02 AM Posted Thursday at 05:02 AM That’s a long list for me but I can say with confidence my all time favorites have never had even a meh one let alone a bad one - Cohiba Esplendidos, Robustos & Siglo VI. 3

carsncigarsuk Posted Thursday at 06:55 AM Posted Thursday at 06:55 AM Padron - all of them, never had a bad one. Spada Gorda has never let me down (The entire FAB 5 range is great construction but a few have had a bit of tunneling in some of the other vitola) Bond Roberts again never had a bad one. My Father Warped Plasencia 2
HabanosGuy Posted Thursday at 07:11 AM Posted Thursday at 07:11 AM It's a bit of a gamble, as there are several more or less experienced rollers, but I can't remember ever having any issues with these ones (across multiple boxes with different BDs): Trinidad Esmeralda Trinidad Vigia Partagas Serie E No 2 & P No 2 RyJ Wide Churchill Quai D’Orsay No 54 By the way, my worst experience was with a box of HdM Le Hoyo de Rio Seco (DB SEP 18), probably from the very first batch. It was a box of 10, and so far, I've tried smoking six of them, but every single one was plugged—like trying to smoke a piece of wood. Even using a Perfect Draw to drill holes didn't really help. I still have four left, but I'll probably just use them as decoration. 2 1
Popular Post westg Posted Thursday at 09:09 AM Popular Post Posted Thursday at 09:09 AM First that comes to mind Montecristo Petit Edmundo. I can honestly say I have smoked hundreds of them and never had a bad one. Right behind them is the Partagas 898. It is distinctive to me and they are just gorgeous. Never had a bad one. Monte 4 is up there as well. Hoyo San Juan is right in the mix. Juan Lopez No 2 holds its own. 5
CaptainQuintero Posted Thursday at 09:44 AM Posted Thursday at 09:44 AM PLPC and Party Shorts come to mind pretty much instantly. 2
