El Presidente Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Looking for member input on La Flor De Cano Magicos Regional Espana 2019. I came across this one on Bond Roberts Auctions today and it is a cigar I can't recall smoking Who can fill me in on the profile based on personal experience? https://www.bondroberts.com/product/view/54382/La_Flor_de_Cano_Mágicos_Edición_Regional_España_2019
Popular Post loose_axle Posted May 20 Popular Post Posted May 20 I bought a box when they first came out. I smoked 4 and they were cedar, bitter earth and generally yuck. I gave another 4 away but still have two left somewhere hoping that time might do something. 4 1
Dadof3 Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I’ve never been willing to spring for a Cohiba Piramides. How do they taste?

I personally prefer the '01 more - dark chocolate, soft at first, intense since 2/3. But after all, you can't complain about any of vintage EL. '01, '04, '06, '11, all are remarkable. 5 3
Ford2112 Posted May 20 Posted May 20 H Upmann Monarch Tubos. They get mentioned here a lot. Same with the Serie Du Connoiseur. 3

I remember they were easy smokes, had lots of loose draws, and we had to re-light often. I naturally migrated away as I found much better cigars. I will go try to find more and smoke one on the next dog walk to give you my assessment now. 2 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted May 20 Popular Post Posted May 20 I had two La Flor de Cano Magicos in 2022 that I wrote up a short review for. The first one had some construction issues, but the second one was much better. 4 1

Any of them. I've never been willing to pay up for one and so it remains an elusive vitola for me. I'm partial to shaped cigars and always figured the Cohiba version has to be something special. 1

Exquisite cigars all, though I favor the Partagas Charlottes over the PSDC No. 3. The Monarch Tubos rival Sir Winston with a depth of flavor and complexity that is remarkable. The SDC cigars - long and thin concentrated Partagas flavors with a bit more refinement than typical Partagas. 3 2
Mr. DD Posted May 22 Posted May 22 H.Upmann Supremas No.2 (from the Replica Antique Humidor Series, 2015). It’s a double perfecto called a Butifarra No.2 (factory name). It appears to be very rare. Anyone? I noticed that this vitola is the only one produced by Habanos to date. I have smoked (what I presumed to be a Cuban) Butifarra farm roll once that was outstanding. 2

From the light I and getting tons of cocoa and cinnamon. At the 2nd third the flavor have turned into a fresh bakery cookies, muffins. Starting with the last 3rd I am getting fresh strawberries. I was lucky to find this one box back when they first came out I think I payed $140. Great full flavored cigar! 6 2

Maybe I’ve had a bad two boxes but all of mine were loose draws, tunneling was prevalent, and relighting often. Today’s first third was hot, left a tingling in my mouth, had some tunneling, and really only had glimpses of good flavor (for a moment I got salted popcorn but just for a moment). I wouldn’t have smoked it all the way through except I really wanted to give it a chance to recover. I’m thankful this was my last one. Couple of pictures below: However, I did move forward with the Espana RE with this La Gloria Cubana and it was awesome! Clouds of smoke, wonderful baked spice flavoring, excellent burn, and a great experience! I can recommend you spend your money on this! 6 1

Havanaaddict Posted May 23 Posted May 23 The La Gloria Cubana is a far better cigar! From your picture the wrapper on the La Flor De Cano Magicos, it looks like it was on the lighter side. I am a firm believer in a darker and oily wrapper delivers so much more flavor, you are correct that a lot of them do have a loser draw. But I would much rather have a looser draw then a tight one, as I can control it with a sipping type draw! 3

They were so maybe it was me but they almost put me off Regionals entirely (fortunately the next Regional I tried was the Bushido which was fantastic). 2
SUP8333 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Dunhill Atados/Havana Club/Estupendos or really any of the other Dunhills back in the day anyone? What was it's age when you smoked it, is it really that good far above and beyond or is it just unique in profile? 2
