What's up for the weekend folks?

Gym and gardening today. Change of seasons has hit and we have had our first cool spell. I have been away for the best part of a month and the garden is indeed in need of some attention. It is a gorgeous 21°C/70°F blue sky day, perfect. I find gardening as relaxing as I find cooking, so looking forward to it. Early Mothers day dinner tonight with the family at a Thai restaurant for Dee's mum Rena. Sunday morning I am up at 6am to get to Mothers day breakfast with my parents and brothers at 7:30 am. This was booked by my brother the banker...who obviously found a cafe with an early bird discount .  Reminder to self...buy mum a Mothers day card and a gift. 

I have some cigars to try this weekend. Some planning to do. That will be Sunday arvo over a glass or two of Diplomatico.

Son graduated Clemson yesterday, Birthday today and Mother’s Day Sunday. Busy times here, had some family drama yesterday and today that is working itself out thankfully. Oh and my daughter is moving to Amsterdam next week! It’s a lot of change going down.

New Italian joint in town that will get a visit to celebrate.

My wife had surgery to replace her left hip on Thursday, so I will be mainly spending this weekend (including Mother's Day) with her in hospital as she recovers. We're grateful for both modern technology (which has streamlined the procedure immensely in a short time) and quality surgeons.

I am going to see Eric Johnson tomorrow night. Bike ride. Cleaning up the back yard. Sunday morning a little fishing off the beach for stripers and a nice dinner for Mama!

My buddy had one of the best bars in North Guangzhou. The last couple of years, he decided to shut it down and move to Fuerteventura. Now he's got the best bar/restaurant on the island.

If you make it into town make sure you go. Good grub, big mix of locals/tourists, all ages from morning to night, and great music.

Taking us out on the catamaran tomorrow.

Pass my best on to Eleni John. I know a few people who have had the procedure. Initially it can be very painful. But as you mentioned very streamlined and recovery is quick.

Last night was the rugby pitch for Thing 1. She's off to the stables this morning while Thing 2 has baseball and soccer. Some running around tomorrow, then a family dinner for Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, and may your choices be correct for the sons and husbands out there 😆. 

@JohnS - I hope your wife has a quick and comfortable recovery.

Be glad to go back to work on Monday so I can get some rest.

Wishing her the best @JohnS. My wife gets her knee replaced on June 5. You are correct. What they can do now is amazing. And yes I ignore her when she starts talking about my possible brain replacement. Grrr.

Mothers day here in Oz. Heading to the hills for an Azerbaijan BBQ with my and partner and her Russian comrades. I will stand back and observe as the Russian boys are very proud of there BBQ. Out for Mexican tonight with my partner's daughter. We are besties and have so much fun together. Hit the gym and the beach. Cold fresh Autumn mornings at the beach are just beautiful.

First swings of the year at the driving range today. Feels good to be outside and more active. Nice day today but cooling off tomorrow again. Still looking for some warmer weather. The Cigarden heaters are working their magic. Perfect for this time of year.

Absolutely beautiful spring weekend in my part of the world. Planted the tomatoes and herb garden Saturday with a couple of dog walks as well. Lunch with my parents for Mothers Day and more garden work. A great weekend. My son bought his first house last summer and we planted fall garlic which is coming in really good. Planted the rest of his garden this weekend as well.

Catamaran was a blast. Water was chilly. But it didn't stop us from diving.

Me and my buddy planned on telling each other big news at the same time. Turns out both our wives were pregnant a week apart. First time everybody's meeting.

All day drinking led to my buddies bar's open mic..which turned into a free for all.

Videos won't upload...but let's just say somebody in our party got forced up and sang R*pe me with a random follow up of have you ever seen the rain.
