jps2345 Posted yesterday at 04:56 AM Posted yesterday at 04:56 AM Which CC are good fresh? Either marca or specific vitola? Would appreciate some feedback. Thank you.
barrygoodvibes Posted yesterday at 05:08 AM Posted yesterday at 05:08 AM Partagas D4 would be my biggest and easiest recommendation. 4
loose_axle Posted yesterday at 05:35 AM Posted yesterday at 05:35 AM PLPC and they'll age nicely too. 4
griller Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM I'll go "cheap & cheerful" and throw in Punch Coronations and the Upmann Coronas Major, both tubos. Solid right out of the gate. 3
KCCubano Posted yesterday at 01:51 PM Posted yesterday at 01:51 PM Depends on the definition of "fresh". I consider a two year old CC fresh. 2
Gemini_Man Posted yesterday at 02:22 PM Posted yesterday at 02:22 PM Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure line, Raphael Gonzalez, Partagas Habaneros, Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills have all been excellent with less than a year of age. 2
Chibearsv Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM Which cigar is it that you currently reach for most often? 1

VasileDulap Posted yesterday at 07:10 PM Posted yesterday at 07:10 PM RyJ Petit Royales surprised me with less than a year. 2

joeypots Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Used to be a Hoyo Epi #1 was a great fresh cigar. Partagas D4 has always preformed young for me and the HU Conni #1 is a good one as well. These used to be everyday cigars but now most will look at the price and, at least, reminisce a bit. A few years down won't hurt any of them. 2

I’ll also add that my fresher Bolivars—BBF, BPC, and BRC—have been excellent. 3
Popular Post Mike Mecklenburg Posted 21 hours ago Popular Post Posted 21 hours ago For a fresh cigar, I think what you are saying is ,"What Cuban Cigar smokes well young". My answer would be Hoyo de Monterrey Coronations (tubes). I have a box from 2024 and 2025 that smoke well young. 6

Ford2112 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Cuban cigars are fairly approachable all across the board as a general rule, by and large. That is, excluding pantywaists, and sissies...give 'em 90 days and try one. 2
DeeBeezy Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I tend to enjoy Bolivar and most Montecristo on the younger side as they have the richness and intensity I’m looking for. 1
wooly Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago If I'm smoking in our local B&M, then I tend to go for SLR Regios, D4, BBF. All relatively reliable when box fresh. 3

I agree. Especially Montecristo. My 2s and 4s I love just a year or two old. They lose the magic after 4-5 years. 2

Absolutely second this. I'll add the Petit Monte 2 that is within that 2 year fresh stage is a Chocolate and Cream Dream. It's as if the flavor opacity is cranked to 11, which is what I look for in that palate. 1
