Started over Labor Day and continuing through this weekend. I have to redo all the electrical on the dock. Amazingly, the original electrician put a box under the dock and spliced all the wires there. The box goes underwater in every hurricane. This should have never passed inspection. Discovered it a few years back and have been putting off the repairs due to all the work in pulling the decking boards. Removing the box, new electrical box added 9' above high tide line under an awning and all new wire, conduit, Hubbell outlets to the lifts. Oh well - project now underway.  should finish this weekend.  I'll add a few pictures of the finished product.

Probably the last camping trip of the year. Weather looks great for the weekend and a great start to fall. Have a great weekend FOH members!

Did some yard work, including grading and seeding a few areas, followed by torrential downpours that washed most of it out.😡 

Managed to get a few cigars and cocktails in anyway. Watched some football and made some pizza.

I had a little trip with the family to Wales for some R&R. It was a few days of relaxation and then one day of doing things, here are a few interesting pictures I took.

An Arturo Fuente Hemingway Between the lines with a Strawberry Daiquiri topped with a Watermelon garnish.

A Quintero Brevas at Kidwelly castle, the filming location for the first part of Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

We went to a nearby beach and had a stroll, it was really peaceful and not a soul to be seen, so I had another Quintero Brevas.

My weekend started with watching my boys play flag football. I got to spend a nice relaxing Saturday with them before I was back to work Sunday. I ended the weekend watching the Bills make a ridiculous come back against the Ravens to secure a season opening win! Let's go, Bills!

Went for a quick visit with our son @ college. Stuck around for the Shane Gillis / Zach Bryan show.

My sister and brother-in-law came up for a visit so we took a day trip to Winnipeg. Pinball at the Forks Market was the highlight for me.

Never trust county inspectors - we moved to north of Atlanta in late 90’s, new construction on final walk thru something was off in the kitchen, so I started poking around and found open ground in kitchen. No idea what inspector actually inspected and signed off on.

Forsyth County? Good luck with that GD SOB A*****E 4 eyed bald-headed plumbing inspector. He can go to hell and kiss my ass on the way down. NO ONE in the county can put up with him. Super up the street been building racetrack gas stations along the east coast for 15 years. Knows the process and SAME building inside and out. Finally got to build one close to home. He was thrilled. Once he met that a****t, he sold his house and moved away. Rest of the inspectors are great. BUT, there's always a but, if the inspector had a "known" crew, sometimes things slip through. An open ground though??????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

NW - Cherokee. Even the build quality there was suspect. Had a neighbor down the street, probably month after moving in the brick facade fell off the front of his house (whole 2 story) end up in front yard. Running down after verifying no one in the family got hurt - we had a good laugh.

Guess the masons couldn't afford BRICK TIES. Month after moving in? Hmmm Mr. Builder...I REALLY like the look of STONE. That'll make him s**t.
