I’m on the sidelines with this one. Have had neither and am yet to have a Cohiba yet for that matter. Interested in the marca, so I’ll be watching how this plays out.

Love both, but the Siglo V hits my palate right where I live and is also my favored size between the two.

It's been years since smoking either. II is great but I'd take the V every time.

I’ve not had either but V would be the preferred size of the two.

It’s tough to turn down a Siglo II, as I gravitate towards them far more often than I should, given their market value today. However, availability plays a role, so if I had the same depth in my (much smaller) Siglo V arsenal, the pull towards these would be greater. This is also assuming all else equal (no time constraints, meetings, or other distractions coming into play).

Deep on ll ( and lll's ) and love them. But the V eclipses both of them.

Size-wise, II is one I could grab more often, but when time isn’t an issue and I want the best flavor and experience, V hands down.

Siglo V for me, nothing wrong with II but the extra length of V just gives it more complexity. Plus any Dalias gets the vote for me, just love that vitola.

Cohiba Siglo V, mainly because Habanos S.A. have had a long-held aversion to producing dalias regularly (i.e. the Partagas 8-9-8 and Cohiba Siglo V), I love the size, and I always struggled to acquire it in the past, unlike the Cohiba Siglo II.

This is a question? I don't think there are any bad cigars in the Siglo series but for me the V is up there with the best.

The Sig IIs from 2021 have been absolutely LIGHTS out. It really is up there with some of the best of the siglo line that I've had. I also tend to grab a II over a V 7 out of 10 times, simply just because of time constraints. With that being said however, I still went with the V. There are far too few dalias around these days and it really is a great vitola. Couple that with the availability between the two and it's an easy choice for me. The III and the V are probably the two 'classiest' cigars from the siglo line imo. True classics.

Is the V stronger than the ll? I haven't had either yet tbh, but I have heard great things about the ll as being approachable.

Generally, the longer (and thinner) cigars will have less strength than their shorter counterparts within the same marca. So, yes, a Cohiba Siglo V should be milder than a Cohiba Siglo II of the same vintage.

Very interesting, I did not know that, I might have to try the Siglo V versus the II now. I was drawn more toward the II as it was listed as "Medium" and I prefer light/med over fuller. Thank you for that information. I purchased recently some RyJ Mille Fleurs and the HdM Du Maires. I am very excited to try them as I never have!

This isn’t really a fair comparison - a bit like asking whether Mayweather could beat Ali. Both were among the best ever in their class, but you wouldn’t put the former in the ring with the latter. I smoke way more Siglo II, and it’s the best PC out of Cuba in my book, but the V is one of my top 3 cigars. Prefer them to Siglo VI.
