This series seeks to explore whether a particular cigar is humidor worthy.:cigar:

Cost these days is an issue for many so let's see if we can highlight some absolute standouts.  This should particularly assist those new to the cigar world.

To be fair, most of the cigars we have featured to date have scored exceptionally well. Surprisingly well!

Scoring is: 1-3 (Poor)   4-6 (Average to good)   7-10  (very good to excellent)  Use the Poll.

The Bolivar Petit Corona flew out the door this week in our "price scrifice" deal.  One off or genuine love? I know how I feel but lets find out how members do.

Today: Bolivar Petit Corona

Outside of the poll, which do you prefer and why? Let us know in this thread ;)

I would like a box or less hanging around the humidor. I will replace the box as it gets close to empty and smoke it in the 2-4 year range. I don't have it backed up like I do with the PLPC or Monte 4. I like them although I tend to reach for other things first.

I have a 2011 box that were good many years ago. They have lost much of their rich flavor and have become very mild. Very disappointing. Bolivar was an ass kicker of a blend. Not anymore, just medium bodied at most.

4 months down in my humidor, and they were singing! On the docket to order more in the fall. The only way to describe this cigar: good, enjoyable, vivid.

Between the format and flavor profile it definitely fills a niche. One of those cigars that I always know what I’m going to grab as I’m walking over to my cigar closet vs. being a spontaneous pick.

An absolute favorite of mine. Remember the two-box deals that you could find on these back in 2019!  I went very deep into these - like 12 boxes deep. Now down to only 6 boxes left. I agree with whomever above said that they are best with 4 to 5 years on them. The 2019's are stellar, consistent PC's.

I had a knockout box once. With current prices I likely won't revisit most of the PC formats unfortunately.

Absolutely a go-to. Down to a box and a half. Damnit. Love the size. It just "fits" the time frame I have to smoke one and I am never disappointed. These boxes are '19s so the age hasn't affected them for the worse. At least not for me. Funny thing is the bigger Bolivars have to be ON for me to appreciate them like others. But then again maybe I just got lucky on all the boxes I have had, including these last 2. Actually one of the few boxes I will replenish even at today's prices.

Love the cigar. I did have a box a while back which was a VERY tight draw, but they were still tasty. Prefer Tubos 2 to these personally (prob same cigar really), but always have been really nice I think. I do agree with @SCgarman on Boli PC being better on the more fresh side, few I’ve smoked with over 10 years have dropped off a lot in flavor profile. YMMV.

These are a favorite. I’ve always had at least a box or two on hand, and probably need to go ahead and grab another backup box. I missed the slashed one last week. 😥

Have been one of my absolute favorites for years. Very creamy and bold. They are a banger wake up cigar paired with coffee or a nightcap cigar with a glass of good bourbon. Wish I would have held on to more of them. Now they are few and far between 😔
