Surprisingly, it was an ALP Mar 2007 Romeo y Julieta Churchills Anejados. Now, the Anejados series certainly has had its more than fair share of duds, but these have all been outstanding for me and I'm sad I have so few left. This one had such unique, quality flavours one doesn't get often in a Habanos cigar, like walnut (and even coconut).

I had a H. Upmann Corona Major A/T and I didn’t expect it to be this great! No spice at all super smooth cigar I definitely recommend it! I have had new world cigars but not a Cuban. Now to explore the different CC options we have!

RyJ Churchill Tubo - 2021 smoked last night. Superb.

A Fonseca 1 from 1998. Had no idea what to expect, and it surprised me. Creamy, toasted tobacco.

Completely with you on this.  Smoking through a 2024 box at the moment. They are rich, sweet, bready,  true to marca. well rolled. Punches well above it's weight on a sliding scale in the CC portfolio.

Caveat - it’s been a slow month for me and really starting to get into Cubans recently so not a massive amount of data points here, but I had an RyJ No2 tubo a couple weeks ago that was excellent. Perfect construction and a cool, pleasant burn the entire time.

No pic, but the Asian Pacifico LFDC Diademas I smoked yesterday takes the title. Nothing really standout amazing, but all around great cigar and very unique.

Cohiba Lancero LTO JAN 21.  

Chose to celebrate the end of a great holiday week and enjoy while finishing current book. I bought a box a year ago over on BR. Had the box out and had a stick in hand a few times but never really decided to smoke it. Yesterday was the day though. Dry draw strong tea notes which really surprised me. Upon lighting, notes of sweet cream and vanilla dominated. Very different Cuban experience. Perfect draw and construction. Midway gave way to honey with notes of tea off the end. The smoke wafting off the tip was intoxicating. Truly a great stick. Can’t imagine them getting better with age not looking forward to them. I do a lot of smoking while reading and was able to finish my book on this stick. Lately I try to keep all the wrappers in the book that I read while smoking.

Battle of the minis. Tie between an HUHC and Monte Media Corona. Bountiful smoke output on both. Flavor. Right amount of complexity that held my interest all the way to the nub. Both took me by surprise.

I had a Siglo III with my dad on Father's Day. That was a wonderful experience. 

Also, had a Nudie Lancero with coffee yesterday morning. Might be my favorite cigar now.
