I was fortunate to be invited to smoke with a very prominent figure, at one point of time he was buying a thousand boxes of Cuban cigars. This is what was shared with us. Very honoured.

90s Cohiba Esplendidos. Mind blown, the taste has lingered in my mind and I can't get rid of it.

I came across a box of these a few months back on BR. Box code of SOU Aug 21. I had read mixed reviews so I did not have towering expectations. When I picked the cigar from the box, I remember it felt soft, yet heavy/dense. I was prepared for a plugged cigar but it had a perfect draw and was just packed with flavor. Easily my favorite cigar of the month! Of course, my humidor is mostly 2023/2024 stock so competition is low.

A Quai d'Orsay Corona from an early 2018 box I purchased here. Tried one maybe three years back and they weren't ready. Really hitting their stride now. Going to smoke another soon and will take pictures.
