I don’t even think you’re smoking the blind tasting pack from the looks of your guesses.

Got up, went to mosque, made coffee, sat at computer to work and within a minute wasn’t feeling it. Who cares if twiggy loses a few million today cos I didn’t figure out why the plant is making road b

Hmmmm… you guys must be on the naughty list.  FOH is saving the real competition sticks for their favorite customers🤗

I felt like I could tell what this cigar was just by looking at it. Darker, rich wrapper, slightly shaggy tobacco emanating from the foot. These are the only cigars my wife smokes, so I’ve bought her

Love the look of your cigar terrace, can enjoy the vibe from all the way over here across the Pacific!

Thanks! We spend a LOT of time out here. After dark is my favorite.

Well, guess I got #4 wrong too, unless it’s also a Epi #2.

Perfect evening to have cigar #4. Unfortunately the cigar did not perform. On the cold draw I noted a very sour taste, one I haven’t had with other cigars. First third was full ammonia flavor but I pressed on. Into the second third, the ammonia transitioned into a bitter sour, similar to the cold draw. The cigar instantly went out 3 times in the second third and I ended up quitting on it. I have quit on a cigar maybe 3 times in my life which shows how significantly this underperformed. That leaves me in a total guess scenario for my pick!  Unfortunate but we know this can happen with handmade products!

Behind the curve, but just smoking no.3.

Mild start, creamy, rich, hint of youthful bitterness, but slow puffs quell it.

Quality wrapper. Well filled, if a little overfilled. Rested at 60% RH for quite a while now. Cedar, toast, subtle honey, hay. Gonna go in high.

Construction on cigar 4 is superb.

After #2 reveal, took out different boxes of some Partagas Serie D4s and I still can’t believe that was the same ring size. Did not get the normal flavor, but at least I did not select D4 in the last 3, small consolation. Wife thought it was funny I was so off, since I was bragging about getting the first 2 correct, probably should have waited until after.

I swear someone swapped my #2 with a Boli 😂

#4

Going to be tough to guess this one. After a good rest at  60-62 rh I ditched the last third because the flavor was terrible and it was a chore to go that far. Odd because it looked good and smoked beautifully. Definitely a Cuban cigar that needs time down if it's going to come into it's own but I wouldn't bet on it.

There is a line of Cuban cigars that has been panned pretty consistently on this forum. That Robuso is my pick.

Cigar 5. Beautiful ripe Cuban tobacco. Sweet, creamy, spicy, savoury, aromas of biscuit/cookie, cinnamon, cedar, hazelnut/cashew can't quite decide. Medium bodied, medium full strength. Delightful. Could be any of them.

A1 construction.

Cigar 5

Hard as a rock. So over packed the Perfecdraw didn't even make a dent. Wish I'd weighed it as there was an enormous amount of tobacco stuffed in.

1/3 actually managed a semi decent draw for all of 10 minutes. Dry cedar opening - actually pretty tasty. Slight spice, coffee, nutty. Bit too wispy to get much but what's there is pleasant.

Draw then completely closed up so had to ditch it. Complete punt. Maybe a VR Famosos but really could be anything.

Cigar 5

On the light, I got a lot of good cedar and sweet cream with a bit of orange peel. Going into 1/3, that cedar sat back and opened into orange honey with a hint of cream and caramel.

Going into 2/3, it hit a bit of a lull. Then, it opened back up with a big caramel and orange peel with a hint of cool spice like fennel/anise.

The last 3rd was nice too, but I had to put it down go get ready for work.

I'm gonna guess Por Larrañaga Picadores.

Great review. I had a very similar experience. Not a cigar I'd personally load up on myself. 85-86 for me.

Man, you did pick up on that orange component in a big way, but alas you pegged it as Por Larranaga Picadores. So close 👌

I'm pretty new to this, and Por Larranaga was the only stick that gave me that strong orange note in the past. Really flying by the seat of my pants here.😂

I think this is great, a widely unbiased assessment without a preconceived image, and still you pinned that hallmark characteristic of the cigar.
