El Presidente Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 I am going to run this poll series over my current rotation cigars. We can expand from there. If these cigars are in your rotation, please take part. Let's define rotation as a cigar that is smoked at least once every four months In terms of ratings, live with the points system as put forward. Some members use stars, others have a 10 point assessment process, others use bananas.......it doesn't really matter....just adapt as best you can. Cohiba Robusto The Tale of the tape to date!
MrBirdman Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Never been one of my favorite Cohiba - I prefer the Medio Siglo even if they’re too short (especially at today’s prices). CoRo is a very good cigar, but unlike many Cohiba I find it’s rarely sublime. 3
RDB Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 There’s a particularly wide range on these, in my experience. They go up further than just about anything, but many are nothing special. And that’s now an expensive game. 1
chasy Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 This one is tough - average isn't way better than others, but the occasional 97 pointer keeps me chasing. 3
BrightonCorgi Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Simply the best as Tina says, better than all the rest. Is the price to enjoyment linear? No. Is paying double worth a 20% better cigar? Considering the criteria of 3-4 a year, it is worth it to me. 3
MagicalBikeRide Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 If I were to recall my top five single cigars of all time, I’d say three of them were CoRo’s. They have this ability to be absolutely spectacular. 3
Popular Post Nevrknow Posted November 14, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 14, 2024 I do love Cohiba, but the CORO can really be hit or miss for me. And that's across different boxes too. 6
loose_axle Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 Haven't had a good time with these. Around 88 so far. 1
Chibearsv Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 Swap one for a D4, I can't tell the difference. I expect a lot more and I don't get it. 2
joeypots Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 COROs do not suck. I’ve had good to brilliant ones and the % of 94+ in my experience is higher than that of the other Cuban robustos. Are they worth the current price? Maybe. Also, I have had boxes of regular production Cuban cigars that were exceptional, think RASS or the LUB ’14 HU#2, for example, that smoked far above their pay grade. 2
Ford2112 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 When they are on, they rock. I would take a Siglo 3 over them, however. 2
