Trinidad Robusto Extra 2010. Can't believe I'm down to the last 3. It was splendid. Construction on point. Great draw. Some fruity note. Damn it was good.

UAO Dic 2018 Cohiba Esplendidos. Absolutely true to its marca and great memories of simpler times when the Habanos world was more straight forward.

Gigantes PUR OCT 15. Gorgeous cigar. Leather, spice, earth a little sweet almond throughout the final third.

This Robusto Trinity paired with two pints of stout was a standout experience. Perhaps not the best cigar of the month, but this is the first NC I’ve become really excited about smoking - so a memorable experience for that reason.

Toss up between an RyJ Churchill (MSA OCT 17) where the cherry note evolved into strawberry...

And a Tainos (BRO AGO 19) that had an apricot, honey & cake-like sweetness

Montecristo No.1 from '20 I believe and I don't seem to have taken a picture. It was classic Monte though and reminded me why I enjoy them. It was my first and I have to say I really enjoyed the format, and plan on picking up a box soon.

Desnudo VI Canonazo Amante 2023 that I smoked midnight on the end of March in my room with Cuba Libre, feeling spring gentle breeze. Various kinds of sweetness were in it and the cigar was very complex for me.

I smoked a BBF from 23. It was the first one I ever tried and it blew my mind. I’ve been trying to grab a box ever since.

I have smoked a few 1s from 2020 and they were excellent.

@hrs1 how has your MSA OCT 17' box been so far? I have that same code and last example was about 15-18 months ago and was, well, less than ideal. Zero cherry, zero baked goods, zero of any typical RyJ flavor profile, just a mild tobacco note. I've been pulling out of my OCT 21' tubos box that has been phenomenal. I've been on the fence about trying another from the 17' box but that last one was just terrible.

@Lt4-396 - It's been a good box. Smoked 13 so far. 1 complete dud (under-filled). Another was overfilled with a massive stem, but perfect draw & some pliers did the trick. The majority have been solid ~93pt smokes, which I usually ding for not being rich enough or uneven burns/relights. Last month's smoke and another broke into 95pt+ territory.

I've also been smoking out of a UEB OCT 17 box, which has been stellar (see a review here). I've heard from others who've had a similar experience and others who had construction problems. Not sure what your experience has been with the rest of your box, but perhaps your last smoke was a dud? Feel like people note that the Churchill had a comeback sometime in the late 2010s, so I hope that's the case 

I have some tubos from TPL JUN 20 as well that I've loved (see a review here). My notes on these typically read something like, "The flavor is richer than examples from some 2017 dress boxes I’ve been smoking. The smoke is a little less silky, but that’s a trade I’m willing to make." So, I can see what you're saying about the '17s vs '21s. Could be the impact of aging or that the quality has continually gotten better since '17...I'm hoping for the latter.
