Yep, and amazing tone. Taylor playability... ol' Andy Powers knows his stuff. :D

Congrats!  I love the armrest bevel.   You should take a visit to the AcousticGuitarForum pages, I'm on there a lot.  Lots of discussion on guitars, and Taylors too - as it originally started off as a Taylor guitar site.

Enjoy! A fine American made guitar is a lifetime investment. It will easily serve you the rest of your days, and can be passed down to the next generation. I told my daughter when I'm gone sell everything if you wish, but keep the Gibson Les Paul.

I don’t know anything about guitars (except that I can’t play), but that is certainly a beauty. Congrats!

Congratulations!!! Beautiful guitar, I love the 800 series. The black top is fabulous and the bevel must be so comfortable on a concert sized guitar.

Congrats man, enjoy it!!! Happy for you

Thanks. 100% my thinking, too... schooling my kids up now to do the same.

Great choice, @MoeFOH! I agree, playing acoustic guitar is good for the soul. I spent a number of years finishing work and de-stressing by playing along to Beatle records. Now, I amaze my students by playing songs like 'Blackbird', 'Here Comes the Sun' and Norwegian Wood', for example, note-for note. Trust me, it's a good feeling.

Nice guitar. I have found that playing music is a great hobby. I’m not accomplished but so what. And playing with people has created a whole new gang of friends.

If she doesn’t want it, I’ll gladly take it off her hands and give it a good home!

@MoeFOH congrats on the new Taylor! Makes my 214ce-DLX look like a Walmart guitar! There’s a certain tonal clarity and richness that Taylor has nailed down that I have yet to find in another acoustic. Your 814 will make a great heirloom for generations on!

Looks great @MoeFOH enjoy.

I wanted to start learning, very late, ages ago. Bought a Spanish acoustic. Will photo tomorrow. Can't get my hand around the neck! Small hands here.

Also I tried learning from some jazz dude. The science completely bamboozled me.

Haven't picked it up in years....

Never too late. It's the best thing I've done in ages, since having been on playing hiatus for way too long.

And yeah, I would leave the jazz dude out of the equation this time. :D

That would likely bring a smile to Jimmy Page's face. FWIW, as a recreational guitar player, I think what Page did on guitar is monumental. One of the best ever. I love Zeppelin.

Indeed. It's no accident that the commonly-held view of the three best rock guitarists of the 20th century all did not need another guitarist to accompany them on stage at the peak of their creativity.

Of course, I am talking about, in order: Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton.
