It's no accident that the commonly-held view of the three best rock guitarists of the 20th century all did not need another guitarist to accompany them on stage at the peak of their creativity. Of course, I am talking about, in order: Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. Winter, Beck and George. 😡 1

Malcolm was twice the guitarist Angus is, a fact even Angus himself has confirmed. 5 minutes ago, DX1185 said: Eric Clapton’s most prolific hit needed Duane Allman to create a counterpoint during the solo 🤣 Oh damn…shots fired. You can’t compare Clapton & Hendrix. That’s like comparing Apples to Oranges or Yo Yo Ma to Eddie Van Halen. Hendrix was a true musician, much like another great guitarist…Prince. Clapton is just a master at the technicals, who happens to have a decent voice. @MoeFOH Another Taylor owner here. Absolutely beautiful Guitar, quite the contrast from my 914ce. Congratulations! 1

Islandboy Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Steve @MoeFOH, what a beauty of a guitar! Good on ya! Enjoy that Taylor, I know I love mine. 2
ha_banos Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Here's mine. It lives behind the door in its case. No idea about it. Other than it's a beginner guitar and I can't stretch my fingers across the fret board. Might trade it for an electric. 2

Ford2112 Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 So many great guitar players in the world. Eddie Van Halen changed everything. For acoustic playing I love Neil Young. 3
Islandboy Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Can’t leave David Gilmour out of the mix 3
helix Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Clapton was asked once what its like to be the the best guitar player. He responded, "I don't know ask Prince." 😉 3
SCgarman Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Jimmy Page will be 80 years old next month. I can only hope to be slinging my Les Paul at 80!😁 3

Small body, big sound, great quality instrument that'll be easy to play and great for learning. Couch guitar, 100%. I'll be grabbing one myself when I can. 1
MickVanWinkle Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 I blame (and thank) these threads for the purchase I made two weeks ago on a whim. I grew up playing drums and dabbled with some band mates guitars. So far so good and my wife is even happy that I have a new (cheaper than cigars) hobby.
