Indeed. It's no accident that the commonly-held view of the three best rock guitarists of the 20th century all did not need another guitarist to accompany them on stage at the peak of their creativity.

Of course, I am talking about, in order: Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton.

Winter, Beck and George. 😡

Eric Clapton’s most prolific hit needed Duane Allman to create a counterpoint during the solo 🤣

Malcolm was twice the guitarist Angus is, a fact even Angus himself has confirmed.

Oh damn…shots fired. You can’t compare Clapton & Hendrix. That’s like comparing Apples to Oranges or Yo Yo Ma to Eddie Van Halen.

Hendrix was a true musician, much like another great guitarist…Prince. Clapton is just a master at the technicals, who happens to have a decent voice.

@MoeFOH Another Taylor owner here. Absolutely beautiful Guitar, quite the contrast from my 914ce. Congratulations!

I'm with you on Lowell George....assuming you don’t mean Curious instead.

Here's mine. It lives behind the door in its case.

No idea about it. Other than it's a beginner guitar and I can't stretch my fingers across the fret board. Might trade it for an electric.

So many great guitar players in the world. Eddie Van Halen changed everything. For acoustic playing I love Neil Young.

Jimmy Page will be 80 years old next month. I can only hope to be slinging my Les Paul at 80!😁

If your funds allow, maybe pick up a Taylor GS Mini. Small body, big sound, great quality instrument that'll be easy to play and great for learning. Couch guitar, 100%.

I'll be grabbing one myself when I can. :D

I blame (and thank) these threads for the purchase I made two weeks ago on a whim. I grew up playing drums and dabbled with some band mates guitars.

So far so good and my wife is even happy that I have a new (cheaper than cigars) hobby.
