With my granddaughter in Nashville trying her hand, I'm leaning more towards good amateurs. 👍

Skip to 3:05 rather long intro.

Bringing in some female singers to this list, starting w some upbeat-but-still-good-background-for-a-good-cigar-sounds (IMO)

Changing it up but keeping w the women for a change...

And now for something completely different (but still good as upbeat to enjoy a cigar :))

Though I am not a dad, I can sympathise with friends who are. This is a follow up to their 2010 song.

Recently I've been getting back into Aussie 70s/80s pub rock.

I’ll do a double post, I am OK getting disqualified! I realized I posted a video of Ry Cooder but failed to connect that he was effectively the person to get Buena Vista Social Club together. Probably important to mention given the forum! I heard Compay Segundo talk about the first time he heard Ry Cooder play a guitar it was basically “my head was spinning” this is BVSC playing with Ry Cooder at Carnegie Hall. I was lucky enough to be there. I was 18. My head was spinning! Unreal sound, indescribable.

This song floored me the first time I heard it, so simple yet passionate and elegant. The Spanish lyrics make it a delight to smoke to as well :)

I stumbled upon this singer/songwriter when I was working in the Nashville music scene, around 11 or 12 years ago. Crazy about this song, and I usually put it on Wednesday afternoons. Thursday and Friday I work from home, so no more commuting this week. Time to relax just a little bit.
