Popular Post SonGoku Posted May 1, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 1, 2023 Generic brand cola from supermarket and a NC. If this doesn’t call for some fist shaking at the sky I don’t know what does 😂 btw I love that expression @El Presidente The cola isn’t too bad but that Maduro Brickhouse is awful. And that isn’t even the worst of the NC’s I’ve been trying in the hunt for a reasonable priced everyday cigar. The maduro wrapper has already required half a canister of gas to keep it lit and I’m only 1 inch in. It's gonna cost me the same as a Cuban in the end 😄 4 16 1
helix Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Brickhouse sucks. Try Espinosa Habano for about the same money but very good.
gustavehenne Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I hated the Brickhouse Maduro but really liked (but not loved) the Brickhouse Connecticut USA - reminded me of the La Fuerza.... 1

I've never heard of those, but I'll look for them and give them a try if I can find around my neck of the woods. NC's are more available now than when I started smoking cigars. Back then, the majority were Cubans. These days, a wider selection of NC's are available, but it's impossible to keep track of them all. Aside from the occasional Davidoff, Fuente and Padron I've kept to the Cubans as I'm more familiar with them and by far prefer them. Also the price difference couldn't justify smoking NC's. It's fun trying something different now but the success rate is very poor so far 12 minutes ago, gustavehenne said: I hated the Brickhouse Maduro but really liked (but not loved) the Brickhouse Connecticut USA - reminded me of the La Fuerza.... I think I picked up one of those too. I'll give it a try. But yeah that maduro version is not one that I'm trying out again, horrible
Cairo Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I know that NCs are supposed to be ready to smoke when they hit the market but there are a few exceptions. Brickhouse is one of those--totally unsmokeable without a year or two of rest. I have no clue why that is--but that has been my experience. 2 1

Cabbie Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Gonna toss my recommendation in. The Illusione Epernay Le Grande is a great affordable cigar if you're a fan of Cubans. It's a very tasty cigar. 1 1

jazzboypro Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 I've never had a good Brickhouse cigar. Try Plasencia if you can

So far I've only tries the Inspirado Red Robusto. Didn't like that one either. I've been told that the Inspirado White is the better one of the different Inspirados. Might try it later today. 21 hours ago, Cabbie said: Gonna toss my recommendation in. The Illusione Epernay Le Grande is a great affordable cigar if you're a fan of Cubans. It's a very tasty cigar. Ok I will put that one on my to try list. Thanks for the recommendation.
SonGoku Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 @jazzboypro about 2 inches in on the white Inspirado toro. I payed approximately 7.6 USD for this cigar. It's smokeable but definitely not one that would consider picking up again. It has a bit of that typical Nicaraguan pepper spicy thing to It's taste that I don't really care much for. Is there a specific Macanudo you would recommend? There is a pretty good selection of Macanudos here at the local B&M. Many though, are as pricey or almost as pricey as Cubans. In that case I would rather pay a little extra and get a Cuban.
