KCCubano Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 I chose Panatela. Not that I dont enjoy a well constructed example but the QC and plugged rate is off the charts. A shame because they deliver when on.

ha_banos Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Dagnamit. I'm reading all the idiots who didn't read the instructions. Chuckling. Then I notice it says TWO votes in the second post. What a doofus. Missed opportunity. I only hate H/C then. 1
Blakes Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Currently the poll is showing the Lonsdale to be the least hated size... How many Lonsdales does Habanos have in current production? One, two? 🙄
patrickamory Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 I don't know the RG on a lot of these, but my main concern is that they not be too fat. From 50 and below I'm a happy camper. My mouth only opens so wide
bishop532 Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 I’ve got a feeling the sales data is going to go against most/all of the top vote getters. I bet HUHC, Monte MC and PLMC are big sellers. Same with a bunch of the petit Robusto options. 1

M1B Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 HUHC have a strange habit of selling out awfully quickly for such a disliked size 🤔
Popular Post El Presidente Posted November 9, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted November 9, 2022 So "what cigar size do you like the least?" Few would expect Half Corona to top the list. Panetela, OK. Half Corona? Top selling cigar sizes by a country mile are Robusto and Petit Corona followed by Belicoso/Piramide, Half Corona, Petit Robusto and then that Robusto Exta/Double Robusto range. So on the surface, Half Corona and Petit Robusto being so high on the list raises questionmarks. My theory? If I reworked the question. "Which cigar sizes are more likely smoked as a compromise by you?" I would bet a steak dinner that leading the poll would be "Half Corona" and "Petit Robusto". family commitments/lack of time/ etal make the HC and PR perfect "compromises" even though you may prefer the luxury of time to have something else. Half Corona sell out very quickly because 1) Cuban Half Coronas are superb and 2) Life is full of compromises! For a cigar lover they are a natural part of most peoples arsenal. People generally hate to compromise....they do it....they just resent it a little. Just my theory. 5

My second least favorite would be anything over 50 RG. What's the point of it? Almost voted for the petit robusto as well; however, the Partagas D No. 5 is AMAZING! For me, I don’t care for anything above a 52 RG. 3

I have half Coronas, but they are never the ideal format when I’m thinking about what I *want* to smoke.

Great point - good fodder for another poll. (I live in a chilly winter climate, and enjoy half Coronas because there really are times I only want to or can smoke for 25-30 minutes). 2
El Hoze Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I live in Florida and built an inventory over the years of generally larger formats with very few quickies. Two years ago we bought a place in Colorado where we spend most of the winter. I have had to backfill around it!
Notsocleaver Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 It makes sense, who hasn't smoked a HUHC and thought I wish this lasted longer. They love the cigar in spite of the format, not because of it. Its a bad size executed well. 1
bergstrom Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 I really hate the monsterous RG trend which seems to permeate many NCs and unfortunately as of late - plenty of new selections from habanos.
PuroDiario Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 I don’t see least favorite and recurring purchase as mutually exclusive.
Cigar Surgeon Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Cuba makes the best half coronas and petit robustos IMO. 1 1
