They split up the release with 1-1200 / 1200 and the next series is numbered  1201 of 2400. Maybe to cover for someone ordering the wrong box # badges ?:)

My Cab is 0149/1200. I thought they initially were to be 2400 of 25s but ended up 1200 of 50 Cabs. I could be wrong.

Baalbek certainly is a place laden with cultural heritage - but maaan, it’s s only tobacco....!

The reference to Jupiter is pretty obvious though, but can someone explain what it is with the Herring/Caspian gull’s calls? Any open landfills of significance there?

The internal leaflet sais “50 aged Habanos” and “This box is a part of a special production of 2400 numbered boxes”, labelled 0609/2400 internally and 0609/1200 externally. That’s HSA for you.

And again, the spelling is quite ‘unique’. Is that another HSA thing, like Connossieur? 😂

Sorry for being a pernickety b*stard but my OCD levels are high these days :D

I was gifted one of these by the true gent @torsion and it was really nice. I got lots of Orange, Cointreau and Cream and to my palate, much nicer than the 50/54.

Glad you enjoyed it! I actually sold a box on BR because I was worried they would be too similar to 50/54 which are well loved but not high on my list. Your description makes me regret it now! There weren't a lot of reviews on them earlier this year to persuade me to keep them.

I have yet to touch my cab but the reports I have from people who have sampled say head and shoulders above 50/54 with tremendous aging potential. We shall see.

Flashy videos indeed, but I wish for once a distributor (or God forbid, Habanos) would talk about some substance...for instance, what do they love about the QDO blend, what makes it unique, what they were aiming for style wise. Give consumers a little look into such an expensive product.

Mine too. I have no intent on touching them until 5 years down.

+2

Although, a few singles acquired from initial release will see trial by fire in yearish/wild hair increments.

100% this.   It's bonkers that so much knowledge and insight exists within CC enthusiast, but they cant commit to giving a few sentences on the paperwork

Some basic info would be so valuable to someone starting out. For example

QDO:   A light to mid strength blend, notes of cream, citrus and woods

As Rob has pointed out with Hamlet, CC blenders use as completely different set of terminology, but this shouldn't be an excuse to offer nothing
