Bears defense is waking up.  Head coach is finally figuring out that his staff is better than he is at coaching football.  Fields gets the permanent starting job.  Look out for the upset over the Raiders this week.

Tennessee over Jacksonville. The Jags don't appear to be embracing the grind...

I feel like that's a trap game.

I am liking Washingtom at home over the New Orleans. Still......tight.

As a week 5 lock? You like to live dangerously.

Patriots over the Texans.

Also can we talk about Dickson's awesome 'Aussie rules' double punt last night? Absolute legend.

The best part was listening to Mike Pereira fumbling through his analysis of the play.  He was clueless.

it has got a fair bit of publicity over here, but not for quite the same reason. here it is more along the lines of 'that's what impresses these guys?'.

it was nicely done but, and i am not making this up, i grew up in Brisbane which is a rugby league/then rugby union city. until the last 20 years, aussie rules was a minor game here. but the area in brizzy in which i grew up was, for some reason an aussie rules stronghold so that was what i first played at school. i can honestly still remember our coach (just the teacher) having us train to do that when i was eight years old. if you watched a game of aussie rules, you'd see that and more that was much more difficult umpteen times a game. the spinning ball makes it more difficult but you just use what we call soft hands.

i have no doubt our victorian, south and west aussie members will have seen its like many times.

i was a keen but utterly hopeless player but i could do that without much trouble. mind you, i'm not joking about being hopeless because i would have then had trouble kicking it.

strange what impresses different nations.

but yes, the WFT as a lock? that is taking the piss.

Life long Cowboys fan ... but I think the Giants take them at home in a close one (Dallas will find a way to f@ck this up) . The spread is 7 for Dallas ...it seems even Vegas knows it...

so washington is your 'lock' but in the tipping comp, you pick NO to beat Washington? very wise as those drunk hippos in ice found a new way to stuff up a game that they should have won by a mile, but it kinda contradicts your 'lock'?

So I remember years back they use to have the "expert touts" that had a phone number to call and the recording would have their pick . They would give half the people who called one team and the other half the other team.

Gruden is out of Raiders land. Turns out there is more emails out there that brought him down.

No option but out.

Any coaching favourites at this time?

Rich Bisaccia, their special teams coach.

would love to see Byron Leftwich get a shot.

My guess is Bisaccia will remain interim coach for remainder of season. What happens in offseason is anyone’s guess. Doug Pederson might get another shot.
