I made the mistake of going through some of my old inventory, as I had sold off a decent bit of my stash back In 2014/15 as I wasn’t smoking a ton, and this had included letting go of some ‘special occasion’ smokes that I felt I was more likely to keep saving for a day that perhaps wouldn’t ever come and offered a decent return, at least at the time….(I’ve since learned to just smoke what I enjoy without worry or hesitation, regardless of however ‘limited’ or special a cigar may be - ya know, Carpe Diem and all).

Anyway, in doing so…..I saw that I had sold off a box of Por Larranga Regalias De Londres. As the Gentlemen George Strait once sang a song about….‘I’d like to have that one back’!!

So, this got me to thinking…especially considering misery loves company. What’s the one, or ones, you let go of perhaps too soon, that you wish you’d kept for yourself??

After tipping the shopkeep at Melia Libre LCDH well for the drinks, he finally admitted that he had two boxes of Fundadores. He offered them both to me. ARS 19, I only bought one...

*El Rey Del Mundo Tainos from the early 1990's. And I didn't sell them off, I gave them off.  But in reminiscience they were so  good I WISH I'd kept the bulk of them!!

50 original release Bolivar Especiales in tubo.   I bought and sold.  Their condition and aroma was out of this world,  I didn't even smoke 1,   what an idiot.  I had my ultimate white whale,  and i let her out the keep net.  I still cant forgive myself

To quote John Belushi when Elwood said he’d traded the Bluesmobile for a microphone “OK, I could see that...”

Less of a case of sold off, but more of a case of didn't buy enough in 2006 when a wholesaler closed down and had a fire-sale, and smoked through that stock much quicker than ever expected!

Not a Cuban cigar but I vividly remember standing in the humidor of my favorite B&M when the tobacconist was explain a special cigar to another customer. Not knowing much at the time I did not pay much attention. That cigar was the Tatuaje Federal 90th anniversary.

Melia Libre?  No such place exists.  Guessing you meant Melia Cohiba as Habana Libre has no bar.

Ha ha.  I've been in that place 50+ times and never noticed that.  Maybe I thought it was storage or something as I never saw anyone there.  Good to know.  Next time I'll sit there drinking not stop until they hand over the Sir Winstons and Behikes :)

I generally would tip $1 CUC for the $2 CUC Cristal. That stuff is like water to me. After 5 or 6, he went thru the door that is opposite the walk in humidor, and presto! The boxes if Fundy's that he said they didn't have a half hour before! 😂
