El Presidente Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 CUBA OFFERS TO VACCINATE TOURISTS WHO VISIT THE ISLAND TREVOR KUCHERANFEBRUARY 5, 202 https://www.traveloffpath.com/cuba-offers-to-vaccinate-tourists-who-visit-the-island/ The Finlay Institute has made it clear that they will offer to vaccinate any foreigners who arrive in the country and want to have the inoculation. Currently 150,000 doses are being administered during the clinical trials. Vérez added a third shot of the vaccine is required to induce the best viral neutralization immune response. Countries Around The World Are Beginning To Open For Vaccinated Tourists With inoculations for Covid-19 underway worldwide, it was only a matter of time before nations began opening their borders for tourists that have been vaccinated. Many countries are desperate to reopen their borders for tourists and start rebuilding their economies that have been devastated by the pandemic. 8 countries recently announced that they will be allowing vaccinated tourists with either less Covid-19 entry requirements or none at all. The World Tourism Organization (WTO) has called for a vaccine passport to be developed, labeling the concept essential in order for global tourism to restart. 1

PapaDisco Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Funny! But in actuality, Cuba does take its medical science seriously. An odd conundrum considering everything else they screw up, but then medicine is far removed from political dogma and maybe that keeps it safe from meddling communist bureaucrats? Sure they can screw up its administration, but at least they're not anti-science like 1/3 of the population in the U.S. Good money maker too! The vaccinating tourist is going to have to hang around for a month to get all his shots! ?
La_Tigre Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Hey world!!! Come get vaccinated and spread the disease to the unvaccinated!!! ?
Habana Mike Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Might as well stick around for a month and get four! 14 day quarantine each way you only need about 6 weeks off....
nKostyan Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 If this is a tobacco-based vaccine from the Vuelta Abajo, I'm in 1 1

Nino Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Here is the price list for Havana hotels to quarantine the 5 required days for foreigners and their prices per day/room from today onwards : So let's say you spend your quarantine at the Melia Habana in a single room - it will cost you $3855 for the 5 days ... I expect the vaccine to come in a golden needle at that price and with a bikini clad nurse giving it while handing you a BHK 56 ? PS : The Melia hotel chain also offers PCR tests at their hotels at a price of US$65 per test. Vaccine is NOT included in the offers. https://www.directoriocubano.info/actualidad/melia-cuba-ofrece-test-pcr-a-sus-clientes-en-la-isla/#more-22927 Here is a good site to follow the case numbers in Cuba : https://covid19cubadata.github.io/#cuba I'm surprised at the incidence rate of 99,91 per 100k people ( higher than Germany right now ) and the 80,25% rate of foreign transmission .... 1
BrightonCorgi Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Pretty obvious a vaccine passport was going to happen.
Chas.Alpha Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Wow! A year ago, I paid $65/night for the bungalow at the Comodoro and $202/ night for a King suite on the 7th floor overlooking the park at the Parque Central. How times have changed... ?
