Why the foil w the cazzies?

Recommended Posts

So I got my first box of Cazzies today. I get the variation in the box shape. Marketing and jenga options. Not so sure I follow the foil wrapper inside the box though.

I recall reading many mentions of keeping the foil on for aging. Can do for sure. But I have to ask, if the foil is an integral part of the aging of these cigars based on conventional wisdom why don’t folks keep other cigars in a similar setup?

what is unique to the RyJ classidore?

I actually find it annoying.  Usually by halfway through a box Ive just ripped it off for quicker access to the cigars.  Cazzies aren’t expensive, can be found for cheap prices at times, no point for me to get too careful when I’m just going smoke through and pitch the empty box after.  It does look nice upon first opening, but it’s not very functional having to take out the whole bundle, unfold one of the ends to slide a stick out.  I ain’t got time for that!

Very traditional packaging, used pre-Rev, generally for stronger cigars like RyJ Cazadores, La Escepcion Cazadores Miramar and Boli Especiales No. 2. The strong brand Los Statos de Luxe used all foil packaging. Considered more air-tight for long-term aging while keeping packaging simple.

As above. The foil stays on until the box is cracked for smoking then binned because if they're good they don't tend to last to long...

Cazzie blend is kind of unique. Has a unique strength to it. Don't know if that justifies the foil wrapper for aging.

I find it particularly useful for intentionally concentrating and inhaling the aroma which is frowned upon with other products on store shelves....

Def don't try this with the knickers bin at Victoria Secret...they tend to frown on that behavior. ?
