El Presidente Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Flauta = Flute in Spanish. Very rare and little known cigar. Holy Moly! 5
benfica_77 Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Ouch looks like it's been through a warzone and microscopic aka 47's took them down
cigcars Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 OOOOOHHHH, A-G-O-N-Y!! The Horror - The Horror
Ken Gargett Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 in fairness, for all we know, these might have been sold for 5c each back whenever. or 5c for the box.
NSXCIGAR Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Those should be packed in foil. Not the least of the indications these cigars have not been cared for. I used to smoke a ton of LS Brevas in the early 2000s after the MMs went away. Around $30/box. Great cheap & cheerfuls. Closest you could get to an old school Cuban flavor at that point. Very rich and earthy.
Ryan Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 As far as I can remember, Spain is the only country where I've seen beetle holes in cigars on shelves for sale.
IanMcLean68 Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Definitely seen better days, unfortunately. Still, a rare and interesting find! Just wondering, is "flauta" their actual name, or did they get that name because the cigars resemble flutes with all the beetle holes? ? 1
