I really enjoy the Petit Royales. Big fan of the Churchill so naturally fell into the PR. RG Perlas have been on point lately. It depends what flavor profile tickles my fancy. Is there a particular flavor you’re shooting for? Your answer may help narrow down choices from a large pool of short smokes.

Profile profile... RyJ Petit Royale is a dialled up Romeo, while Monte MC is a dialled down Monte. So that choice depends on your preference. Party Short surely a contender here too, and some like HUHC.

There's loads of options depending just how short you want. The minute style has some awesome quality: Cohiba Siglo 1, Rafael Gonzalez Perlas, Montecristo no.5, Partagas Shorts are just the first that spring to mind. Quality, quality smokes that stand on their own as cigars not just a smaller version of x

This, very much this.

Cuban Minutos are a staple for me. Not just for time constraints. They give you the full array of different brand-profiles and mostly represent sort-of a condensed "espresso"-version of their respective marcas. RASCC, BCJ, Party Shorts, Reyes are my regular go-to short smokes. Mixed in the odd BT3, RGP, El Principe, and to a lesser extent Monte5, Sig 1. Their all non-chichi and to-the-point attitude just resonates with me. A pronounced evolution is not what you expect from these cigars, but sometimes you'll be quite surprised.

I’ve had the pleasure of having all the current production available short formats (at leas the ones being discussed here) and the Reyes is a runaway as with all Trinidad’s when they are “on”

bit, petit royals are pretty awesome as well and maybe just a slight bigger bang for your buck.  Some problems with underfillinh occasionally but nothing detrimental.

" I need one that pairs well with a light to medium coffee for mornings and has nice aroma."

Upmann half corona, El Principe, Monte 5 , and Perlas should do nicely.

Flor de Cano too........

I'd say the softer, more subtle flavors of an HUHC are your best bet to complement your morning coffee.  I'd also recommend trying the Hoyo Du Depute. I don't see that little guy get much love but what a fantastic little smoke.it can be!  It certainly is a morning coffee companion in my mind.

Good call on the duDep! An all too often overlooked little gem.

Every minutos BCJ, El Principe, RASCC, Partagas Shorts are outstanding.

For a morning coffee I would also suggest PL Panatelas. But you can't go wrong with any perlas/minutos

HUHC and Party Shorts come across when I'm thinking about short CCs. I'm sure you'll enjoy these CCs! ?

I'm a fan of the partagas shorts. One thing of note, perhaps I am just superstitious or fooling myself but I feel that the 50 cabs have higher quality than the dress boxes with the partagas shorts. I've gone through 2 50 cabs so far and both were very high quality, and I've gone through two of the 25-count dress boxes and I have found that the dress boxes seem to be more likely to have bum sticks in them. Could just be bad luck who knows.

Yeah, I'd like to get 50 cab of Shorts too. 50 cab seems better than 25ct dress box IMHO.

I really like the RyJ petit Royals. Lot more flavor than the Monte media corona. Monte is still a good smoke. Boli corona junior excellent,. El principle great , Partigas short a staple as is the HUHC which would be an amazing choice for a cup of coffee.

Another shout for the RG perlas - to me they pair very nicely with a cup of coffee. I'm not a morning smoker, but could easily envision the perlas as a good morning choice..

Equally good, different tastes. I prefer the Petit Royales. One of the best RyJ models IMO.

I just prefer the Monte 5 over the MC as it has a bit more strength.

Perlas are awesome! I would reach for a Perla over a Monte 5 or Monte MC any day. Such a great cigar.

They are a regular for me when I want to have my morning cigar and coffee. Not too strong and full of flavour. They're great.

Good to hear I just snagged one! How are they aged...and decent fresh? So far letting sit for 30 days

None of mine have a ton of age, but i've got some from 2017 that are smoking pretty good! Fresh they are tastey as well! Bit more full then a Serie D I'd say. Stronger then you'd expect from such a small stick! But real tastey.

Not to denigrate the Perlas but a good Monte 5 is really tough to beat. I think they have a higher ceiling than the Perlas. But at 35% less cost than the Monte 5 the value goes to the Perlas by far. I've put them up many times as the CC value champ. And I do enjoy them more than the RGPC which I've never liked that much.
