treberty Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 NYC is awesome. Off the beaten path: beautiful Greensboro Vermont... home of Hill Farmstead Brewery, really close Barr Hill gin distillery and the coolest pizza place I've ever been to - The Parker Pie Company. I agree that Saratoga Springs is also a lot of fun during the July/Aug horse racing season.

Frankly, as a lifetime resident of Montana, I'm not a big fan of the influx. https://www.cntraveler.com/story/big-skys-sweeping-revamp-moves-the-montana-resort-beyond-ski I think @ohbob976, @ElJavi76 and @inter4alia have all been to Big Sky Country recently, what did you guys think? went last season. had amazing time but snow wasnt great over the weekend we were there
Brian24 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 I agree with Chicago. But if you want another great city check out Nashville, venture off touristy broadway to other local bars with live music. As for off the path, you’ll be a couple hour drive from Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Its a treasure.
Tstew75 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Best city is Portland. Funky, amazing food, beautiful setting. Road trip to the rocky Coast, Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge, Canadian BC, Seattle, etc all from this spot. Also some of the best Pinot Noir in the World is grown here in the Willamette Valley. 1
