I've been reading through some old issues of a tobacco trade paper. It mostly covered the Northeastern United States.

I screenshoted a number of items, but thought the pictures I chose are the most relevant to those on here that are always shooting for the perfect humidity levels.

I learned that Dunhill used to source H. Upmann, HdM, Punch, Montecristo and Belinda cigars from Cuba and offer variety boxes/samplers. This ad is from 1955 for a H. Upmann variety box.

I like how that advert mentions "mild" 5 separate times. Seemed a little excessive. It's amazing how many brands were around in the 19th century all the way up to the revolution, and then how many disappeared after the revolution. I have no idea how that many brands thrived and how many different cigars and vitolas there were and how to go about choosing one to smoke. I thought there were a lot now!
